"Dark….I'm really scared…" Daisuke's voice shook when he spoke. Dark looked at the boy sitting next to him on the bed with his legs drawn up, his knees on his chin. A single tear ran down Daisuke's face as he turned his head to look at the phantom thief.
"I know kid, I am too" Dark said, his eyes were sad. He stared into Daisuke's big tearful eyes. The room was dark, the lights had gone out due to the storm raging on outside, making the already scary and tense atmosphere even more so.
"Why?" Daisuke asked, wiping his tears away with his sleeve.
"I don't know" Dark said, shaking his head.
"How could he do this?"
"I don't know"
"Everyone is…"
"I know, Daisuke….just don't say it"
"But…."
"I don't want to hear it, Daisuke, I know….I just don't want to believe it"
Daisuke remained silent. Dark stared out the window of the room, the lightning flashed lighting his face and he was starting to cry as well. He felt Daisuke put his head on his shoulder and start to shake, signaling that he was starting bawl, he could also hear the deep intake of breath from the boy too. Dark reached out to put a hand on the boys head, and he put his other hand around him and brought him close, hugging him to his chest.
"I know, I'm sorry Dai, we will get out of this, he won't get to us…..I'll make sure of it"
