Maddie and Pamela walked silently towards the graveyard.
They were only together because Pamela couldn't stand going on her own.
She had already suffered two mental break downs that week.
They reached the grave and looked towards the beautiful willow that the grave was lying under.
Maddie gasped in surprise as she saw some one else there.
The two parents slowly walked to the point.
Maddie immediately recognized the boy.
He was shaking with uncontrolled tears and his snowy hair was hanging messily down in his face.
Maddie walked to him with Pamela close behind "Phantom" Maddie said softly.
Phantom looked at the two and Maddie saw endless amounts of pain in his eyes.
She also noted that he was crying.
Pamela sat by him and gently touched the grave.
Phantom did the same, only he touched the picture.
I sat by him and looked at him "why are you here, did you know her" Maddie asked gently.
Phantom lowered his head and Maddie saw the tears come stronger "I knew her, but I never got to tell her how I feel" he whispered.
Pamela turned towards him "how did you feel about her" she asked sadly.
Phantom sniffed and closed his eyes "she was the greatest person I have ever known, strong, brave, smart" he whispered.
He then opened his eyes and caressed her cheek in the picture "but most of all, she never knew or ever will know that I loved her with every single fiber in my soul" he choked out.
Pamela put a hand on his shoulder "she was really special to you wasn't she" Maddie asked.
Phantom nodded and turned to Pamela "you had the most wonderful daughter in the entire world, I just wish I was able to save her" he said.
Maddie looked at him carefully "there was nothing we could have done, Valerie told us it was the Wisconsin ghost" she said.
Phantom looked at her "why do you think she was there, it was because of me, if I weren't half ghost like him she wouldn't have been there" he choked out.
Maddie pulled him into a hug as his shoulders started shaking.
After a few minutes he smiled "you know, sometimes she always knew how to make things seem funny in bad situations, like one time in the zoo me and Tucker fell asleep and accidentally started hugging in our sleep, she ended up taking a picture of it" he said.
Pamela laughed softly "I also heard one incident at school involving a mechanical frog" she said.
Maddie laughed "don't forget that neat petition she did when the mayor tried to get rid of the nasty burger" Maddie said.
At this Danny clenched his fists "never mention Vlad again" he whispered.
Both parents shared a startled look "why" Pamela asked.
Phantom started crying again "he's half ghost, he's the ghost who killed her" he choked out.
Maddie gave him a hug "there isn't such thing as half ghosts" she said gently.
Phantom looked at both parents "if they didn't exist then I wouldn't be here, and she would" he whispered.
Pamela put her hand on his shoulder "if anyone is to blame, it's that ghost, but you know Maddie, I think your son was hiding something about this" she said.
Maddie nodded and looked in Phantom's dull lifeless eyes "was my son there" she asked.
Phantom nodded "I was" he whispered.
Both parents jumped to there feet as two rings washed over Phantom's body.
When it was done there was only Danny Fenton there looking utterly exhausted and sad.
Both parents sat by him and cried together and shared happy memories.
After an hour they all began to head home.
Before they left they took one last look.
They smiled as they saw a girl in black wave at them before fading away.
