I do not own some of the characters depicted in this story and some of the story that is similar, Stephenie meyer does. They are OOC and Also Be wary this story is NOT for the faint of heart despite what my title is there are some rough situations throughout this tale that may turn your stomach and definitely cursing. I warned you :)
This is it. First day of senior year and I have to spend it in this god-forsaken damp ass town. I walked up to the front office trying to smooth down my hair because the air was super humid making it poof out like crazy. Lovely. There was a plump woman with extremely pink cheeks sitting behind the desk.
"Hi, my name is Isabella Swan I just transferred here. I need my schedule." I gave her a pointed look because I don't have time for the small town 'oh my god Charlie's daughter is back' bullshit. Her mouth dropped and she fumbled around to find it. Typical. I sighed heavily because she was taking forever. Get your shit together lady you file papers for a living not perform brain surgery.
"You know being a hellion won't make her move any faster." A deep, thick english accent whispered into my ear. I shivered at first but then the words registered earning him clenched teeth and a glare down.
"It's really none of your fucking business" I said still clenching my teeth. I took his brief moment of surprise at my response to assess him. I had to blink a couple times. He was delicious with dark copper hair, porcelain skin, thick eyelashes framing yellow? No. Honey? Noooo whats the name of that one gem? Damn I cant remember what its called. I can only imagine that my face was now scrunched up as I was trying remember causing him to give me the 'do you need some help' look. " Aah. Here it is!" the lady had finally found my schedule. I grabbed it from her hand and rushed out trying to read where I needed to go almost slamming into this tiny pixie looking girl with black spiky hair. I looked up to tell her to watch where she was going but my voice caught in my throat. I'll be damned if she didnt have the same colored eyes as the guy in the office. What the fuck are they putting in the water here? She looked at me with wide eyes and a cheshire cat smile. Weird. I shoved past her to head to room B216 which was English.
The school layout seemed pretty simple buildings A-F, 100s are downstairs, 200s upstairs. I was in building A which meant I was going to have to find a door to go back outside. Luckily there was one to my right and the moist air fell around me as I walked out. I looked around at the signs on the top corners of the building and found B pretty fast. Thank god for this simple town with its simple people. I hurried to my class and dear god of course I'm the last one here.
The teacher who was this gruff looking man with a mustache, glasses and a sweater vest stopped what he was doing to stare at me. Along with the rest of the class. sigh.
"Hi can I help you?" Surprise! They don't have their shit together and he has no idea he has a new student.
"Yes you can, I'm Bella Swan. I have your class here on my schedule as first period." I could already hear the murmurs of the students.
"Oh gosh. That's right. I'm Mr. White. Uh just pick a seat, from what I understood from what Ms. Howell was telling me you are ahead of us in curriculum at your school in phoenix. We are just discussing Wuthering Heights. If you'll just pick a seat I'm sure you'll have no problem keeping up." I smiled as sweetly as I could and nodded. That was what I read my sophomore year, you gotta be fucking kidding me. I found the one empty seat in the room and lo and behold guess who it's next to, Mr. Gem Eyes himself. He watched me coming his direction with this fierce look on face as though he was upset that I was here. His eyes seemed darker. Go fuck yourself dude, I want to sit next to you even less than you want me to. I gave him a fiercer look back. He turned to face away from me as I sat down. Mature. I wondered what my now ex-boyfriend Danny was doing right now. Probably skipping school and hanging out at the convenience store with his loser friends now that I wasn't there to try to keep him on track. I huffed loudly.
"I'm sorry Miss Swan am I boring you?" The whole class turned to look at me. Fuck.
"Uh, No sorry I just realized I forgot my favorite pen at home." I tried to look as innocent as possible.
He seemed to accept it and kept on with his lesson. I breathed a sigh of relief. Been here 15 minutes and I'm already getting in trouble. I'm sure Charlie will love that. Can you imagine the daughter of the town police chief returns and is causing a ruckus. I smiled dumbly as I pictured myself being some Rambo type loose cannon. Yeah because I look like such a rebel with my huge brown eyes, long brown hair, and never seen a day of sun in my life skin. well I guess I fit in here it looks like a lot of these students havent seen the sun in a while. The bell rang interrupting my thoughts. I got up quickly and apparently so did Mr. Gem Eyes. We rammed into each other dropping all of our things on the floor. I groaned and was going to drop down to pick up my things but he already picked up his and was extending my own out to me. Shit he moves fast. He was staring deep into my eyes like he was trying to figure something out his eyebrows furrowing. I mumbled a pathetic thanks and snatched my things and hauled ass to my next class. What a weird ass dude.
Next up was Algebra which was pretty uneventful compared to English. Went through the typical 'I forgot I had a new student today' shit and found a seat by this girl named Jessica who looks like she's the school gossip, which once she opened her mouth and started asking nosy questions I realized I had pinpointed her correctly. She found out we both had homeroom together too and was sooooo excited to walk the new girl to our next class and was yammering on about this guy named Mike who's like her on again off again boyfriend but she knows hes like totally only into her and sits by her in homeroom. Right. We got there and this blonde haired, blue eyed, cabbage patch kid faced kretin walks right up to us and while completely blowing off Jessica asks me for my name and number. I mustered up the most disgusted look I could and told him to fuck off. Meanwhile Jessica does this weird awkward laugh and says he wasn't being serious he's totally into her. I actually felt bad for her. He was a real piece of work. Though I'm in no place to talk, Danny was no angel. The whole time during homeroom Jessica had her face buried in her phone while Mike stared at me and licked his lips at me constantly. A real piece of work. I felt so much relief when that bell rang for a brief moment before Jessica grabbed me by the arm and started saying something about all of us sitting together during lunch. This bitch is pushy. We all got in line and I almost reached for a water bottle but remembering the Gem Eyes decided against it and got a soda instead. I actually felt the most excited I had all day, anything food related usually cheered me up, and it was enchilada day. I loved enchiladas, even the cafeteria ones. I could feel Jessica eyeballing my tray jealously as she got herself a water and some rabbit food.
I shrugged my shoulders and followed her to a table in the center of the cafeteria. Of course she wants to be in the center. Every pair of eyes watched me like I was some kind of circus animal. I could hear the occasional 'charlie's daughter' and 'yeah her mom just up and left town'. This was going to get old really fast. No wonder my mom ditched this stupid small town. We sat down and she introduced me to a couple more of her friends whose names I didn't care to catch. I was too busy staring to the right of the cafeteria at a table that seemed like it was in its own bubble. There were five of them and they looked like they were arguing back and forth. The two gem eyes were sitting on one with side another guy whose arm was wrapped tightly around the pixie chick. He had short curly blonde hair and seemed like he was trying to control his temper. On the other side of the table was this humongous buff guy with short brown hair and deep dimples laughing while the girl next to him who was breathtakingly beautiful with her long blonde locks, full lips and curvy body was getting in the face of the copper haired gem eyes from the office this morning. I couldn't hear what they were saying from how far away I was but they were REALLY going back and forth with the others occasionally chiming something in then all of a sudden they all calmed down and sat back in their chairs going quiet. Copper hair leaned forward on his elbows with his head in his hands.
"HELLOOOO! BELLLLAAA!" I was snapped back to Jessica waving her hands in front of my face.
"I'm sorry what?" I really had no interest in whatever it was she was saying.
"Gosh I know the Cullens are gorgeous but this is wayyy more important. Like I was saying we were going to go shopping this weekend for dresses for the homecoming dance that way we can be prepared and so all the good dresses aren't gone by the time it comes around." Everyone around the table looked at me expectantly.
"Uh yeah sure sounds good." she squealed and clapped her hands. Oh god what did I get myself into.
"So." I tried to sound non-chalant. "Those are the Cullens you said." Jessica was not fooled.
"Yeah. Nobody really knows a lot about them though. They only talk to each other." Then she leans in trying to be quiet. "I DO know that they are all adopted siblings and they're dating each other, can you imagine? The big one is named Emmett and He's with the blonde next to him named Rosalie. and the curly blonde one across the table is Rosalie's twin Jasper and he's with the little one next to him named Alice whose real brother is Edward who thinks all the girls here aren't good enough for him." I had a feeling she had been rejected by him before and it made me laugh. The bell rang and I gave them one last look before heading to my next class.
The rest of the day went by pretty fast. I found all of my classes easy and was happy when the bell rang for us to go home. I got into my car which thankfully Renee let me bring up here because screw walking everywhere in this weather. Of course it was raining outside so I had to run to the parking lot. I got in my car and looked around. This felt nothing like Phoenix with its rainy weather, humid air, and trees everywhere you turn. I sighed and headed to where I would be living for the time being. I pulled into the driveway to the two story tan and dark brown house. It looks just like it did in the pictures my mom showed me before she sent me off. Of course Charlie wasn't home, he spent most of his time at the station or out at some fishing hole. Just like me he preferred to keep to himself, so it worked out better. At least I don't have my mom popping in every hour or two to see what I'm doing and if I'm still in my room. She caught me sneaking out once and I never lived it down. Little did she know that I had done it a hundred times I just got too cocky about it after a while, and now I'm here. 'Time in a small town will do me good. Everyone knows everyone and everything thats going on.' She just pawned me off on Charlie so she wouldn't have to deal with the "problem" I had become ever since I got with Danny. She kept saying I just needed time far away from him. I sighed, maybe she was right though.
I walked inside and hung my coat making a beeline for the kitchen. Nothing like a snack to make a weird day better. I opened to fridge to find beer and pizza. Jeez. I warmed myself up a couple pieces and pondered over grabbing a beer but thought better of it seeing how I'm still not completely familiar with Charlie's schedule yet. Just as I had sat down and turned on the TV Charlie came in.
"Hello Bella you home?" No shit Charlie. Who else do you know in this town that drives a mustang and lives here.
"Yeah. I'm in here." He came to the living room and saw me with pizza in hand.
"I um, I guess I can give you my card to go the grocery store, I'm not really sure what you like to eat." He said embarrassed.
" This is fine but I could definitely cook some nights as well." He nodded and went over to the fridge, grabbed a beer and walked right up the stairs to his room. Yupp, he's a real people person my dad.
I must have dozed off during the show I was watching because I woke up with this weird feeling that someone was watching me. I looked around the room and my eyes settled on a dark tall shadow in the corner by the door that goes to the backyard. All the lights were off except for the tv so I couldn't make out who it was. My heart started pounding and my breaths became short. My hands were shaking as I tried to reach for something to protect myself.
"And just what are you reaching for my heart? What could you possibly do?" A familiar voice carried from the area they were standing. I froze and turned back towards the door. He stepped forward to where I could see him smirking deviously, and my mouth dropped in surprise.
Well thats the end of the first chapter, I really hope you guys are enjoying it so far, I know a lot of the story starts off similar but I just really like the way all of the characters were kind of introduced in the books. It will definitely be changing though. I'll be trying to update the story as much as I can which will at least be once a week.
