AN: Set in the same universe as "Not my day", "Hey darling", "Perfect together" and "Peaceful". You don't have to read them first, but I'd appreciate it if you did read them. Prompt number 25 (yay, half way through!) - "scarf".

It was the first really cold day of the year, and Roxas was wishing he didn't have classes. When he'd looked out of the window, it had been sunny, so he hadn't bothered to put on a coat. By the time he'd realised exactly how cold it was, he didn't have time to go back home, or he'd be late. It hadn't helped matters in the slightest that the heating was broken, so the lecture theatre was freezing. It was a minor miracle in itself that Roxas had managed to take any notes; he'd been shivering so much.

At the front door, he managed to drop his keys in the flowerbed, and was hunting for them when Axel, still in pyjamas at midday, opened the door for him.

"Roxy, what are you doing down there?"

"Trying to find my keys."

"What are they doing in the plant, or is that a stupid question? I thought you had classes, anyway."

"I do, but I wanted my coat."

Axel disappeared back inside, but not for long. He quickly returned with Roxas's coat, which was gratefully accepted.

"Thanks, Axel."

"Find your keys yet?"

Roxas held them up, then replaced them in his pocket. "I'd better go."

The kiss they shared was sweet, full of promises of things to come. As they pulled apart, Axel wrapped his scarf around Roxas's neck.

"Thought you might need it."
