Invisible cold fingers raking over me,
Trembling, trembling in
the winds,
Wondering why?
Why'd he toss me away
Like
yesterday's trash?
Why'd he stop loving me?
I raise my voice in
pitiful meows
But no one stops.
They all just shuffle on by,
Too busy with their own lives
To care about mine,
Leaving
me in this cold to die,
Ignoring my cry.
Why, oh why,
Are
humans so cruel?
Then, suddenly, She's there
By my side, in a golden light,
Stroking me with fingers
Made warm by love
And speaking
words that calm.
Her warmth surrounds me;
Her love encompasses
me.
I purr with the knowledge
That I am loved,
I am safe,
And some how, some way,
I will survive the night
And live
again,
Goddess Bless.
The End
