The Future

As Michelle walked to her and Sean's house she could her shrieks of laughter and loud music playing. She thought to herself, "What could they be up to". She was talking her and Sean's children, 5 year old Charlotte, who went by Charlie and 3 year old Ellie. As soon as she opened the door to the house everything went quiet. "Hello, anybody home?" Michelle yelled.

Then came barreling out of the living was Ellie who said, "Mommy help me find Daddy and Charlie. We playing hide and go seek." She walked into the living room slash dining room to find blankets strewn over couches and chairs and tables. "Did you guys make forts while Mommy was at work?" Michelle asked Ellie. "Yes, we played princesses." Michelle smiled to herself. Of course Sean would play princesses with their daughters. He had both of them wrapped around his fingers. When Charlie was born he told Michelle that she was allowed to date until she was 30 and Ellie 40. It was going to be hard to keep the boys away from their daughters.

Both of the girls had Michelle's blonde hair, but Charlie had Sean's eyes while Ellie had her blue ones. She always knew it was harder for Sean to resist Ellie not only since she was the baby of the family, but because of her blue eyes just like hers. Although Charlie had almost the same exact personality as herself. Outgoing and loved to be the life of the party although she could see some of Sean's humor in her. Ellie acted more like her father. Laid back, loving, and funny, Ellie always had another joke to tell or would simply say something silly to get people to laugh. She had a way of making you feel better on a bad day.

"Mommy", Ellie said and pulled on her arm, "You said you would help me find Daddy and Charlie." Yes lets look for them. They looked in both forts, in the kitchen cabinets, under in the girls beds and in the girls closets, and under her and Sean's bed. Finally they came and to her and Sean's closet. As soon as she turned the light on she could see part of her husband's head and said, "Find you guys!" "Mommy your home", said Charlie as she jumped on her. "Yes sweetie I'm home how was your day?" "Awesome me, daddy, and Ellie played princesses, ate mac&cheese, and watched Finding Nemo." Charlie said. "Wow sounds like a busy day." Michelle replied.

When she got a glimpse of her husband she nearly died of laughter. He still had makeup on his face from when they played princesses, had cheese stains on his shirts, and his fingernails were painted pink and purple. "Wow you look like you had a fun day, cowboy." "I actually did. Our little girls were perfect angels like always." "They are not perfect angels you just think they are. They've got you wrapped around their fingers." Michelle said, kissing Sean. "I wouldn't have it any other way." Sean replied smiling. Michelle leaned against her husband's shoulder. "You okay sweetheart?" he asked anxiously. "Yeah I'm fine but I've got a surprise for you. Remember earlier this week when I didn't feel good. Well I went to the doctor this morning and he did some tests and these are the results." Michelle handed him a piece of paper. "You're pregnant?" he asked excitidely. "Yep! Maybe you finally get a little boy." She said. "Nah, I only want little girls." He said and smiled at Michelle. Michelle smiled back and kissed him passionately on the lips. "Come on," Sean said, "Lets go make dinner for our little girls." Michelle smiled and took his outstretched hand and let him lead her to the kitchen.
