Oliver approached the huge porch of the equally huge house. He double checked the paper to see if this was the place.
Oliver had loved to sing. Just a few months ago, a company had signed him for "a new type of singing experience" Whatever that meant. Whatever it was, it required Oliver to fly to Japan, leaving everything behind in England except for some clothes and his pet bird, James.
He lifted his hand to knock on the door, but right as he brought his knuckles down, the door opened, revealing a young girl, probably in her early teens.
Oliver wasn't expecting the door to open, so he accidentally rapped on the girl's face, right between her eyebrows.
Luckily, the girl had flinched and scrunched all her features together, so Oliver didn't end up poking her eye out. (Which, as Oliver knew from experience, would be extremely painful)
The girl opened her eyes, and Oliver got a good look at her. She had short blonde hair, which was pulled up by four white clips and a bow on top of her head. Her eyes were bright blue. In her hand, she held a keychain, with one key and four charms: a bass clef, a treble clef, an orange and a banana.
"Ah! Gomen!" she said, before running down the driveway and into a... Was that a steamroller?
He turned back to the doorway and decided it wouldn't hurt to walk in. Besides, he was told this was his new home. He walked into the main hallway, and a girl with green hair and red goggles peeked over one corner. They kind of had an awkward staredown, before the girl said, in Japanese, "Kyaa! SO CUTE!" and flung herself at Oliver.
"You must be a new Vocaloid! What's your name? Your so cute! How old are you?" she said all that while capturing Oliver in a death hug.
"E-English?" Oliver managed to say through smushed cheeks.
"You speak English?" she released him from the hug. "Luka! I need you to translate the new Vocaloid!"
This sent a flurry of footsteps down the stairs. A girl with blue hair tied in twintails landed at the bottom, out of breath. "Did you say a new Vocaloid? Is he cute? Is it a she? How old is he or she?"
The blue haired girl looked at Oliver. "He is cute!" she glomped him. What was up with all these hugs?
"Miku, stop scaring the newbie." a girl with long pink hair and a brown/gold outfit came down the stairs.
She calmly walked up to Oliver and said "Konnichiwa. Hello. Watashi wa Megurine Luka. My name is Luka Megurine."
"You speak English? Are you the only one that does?" Oliver asked. Luka laughed.
"No, there's a lot more English-speakers here. I just speak both English and Japanese, so I'm considered middle ground." as if to prove her point, from somewhere in the house you could hear a girl scream "SHUT YOUR FACE!" Luka sighed and said, "That was Sonika." she smiled and asked, "What's your name?"
"O-Oliver..." He said shyly.
Luka turned to the two 16 year olds girls and said "His name is Oliver. I assume he's very intimidated by your greeting. Seriously, never do that to a new Vocaloid again."
The girls nodded in agreement and then stared at Oliver. The one with the goggles said "Aribaru..," (Which is how I assume it is said in Japanese... Or engrish.)
"O- LI-Ver." Luka corrected, with an emphasis on the L.
"Aliva." (aw-lee-vah), The twin-tailed one said.
"Anyway Oliver, this is Gumi and Miku. Sorry about their... Ahem... Introduction. They just get excited."
Miku said, "I promise be good!"
"I promise TO be good." Luka corrected."Miku's learning English."
She quickly grabbed his hand and said, "Anyway, Let's go meet your new family, huh?"
