Chapter 1: Harasukai (Hara)
Zak stared out the window, his eyes drooping with boredom. His parents' mission was very urgent, and they had already left. Then, a small red car pulled up to his house. Finally. He thought, and then walked downstairs to greet the guest. As he opened the door,
A tall, thin young woman stood before him. Her amber eyes shone in the moonlight, and her long black hair flowed down her back. "Good evening, Zak. My name is Harasukai, but I hate how terribly long it is. You can call me Hara." She said. Her voice was strong, fearless. "Uh… umm… do you need any help with your stuff?" Zak asked, timid of the new guest. His parents were in too much of a hurry to have told him who his babysitter would be. He didn't expect a girl. "No thank you, Zak. Thank you for the offer, though. My things are much too heavy for even me to carry easily." Zak smiled. This babysitter wasn't like the babysitters he'd had in the past. When Hara finally finished bringing in her things, she set them in the guest room and sat down next to Zak, who was petting Komodo. Hara chuckled. "Komodo. Interesting name. Such an amazing cryptid." Zak smiled. Until his heart skipped a beat. Does this girl really know what cryptids are? He thought.
