AN So again this was not originally written for anything in particular but I feel that it is good for MAX. If ya'll have other suggestions I am more than open to them but it is definitely a one-shot.
FALLING
My heart beats faster. The floorboards around me fall. I wait, there is no echo. I look across the vast, dark abyss, there he stands. My savior. I smile; no response. I feel the board below my feet begin to tilt forward. My mouth falls open in a silent scream. My hand reaches out; my mind knowing he can't, won't, catch me while my heart shouts that he will. The board tilts farther; my feet begin to slide. Slowly, slowly I fall. I continue to stare in his eyes, hoping for some response; receiving nothing but cold hard indifference. When I fall past his level my ears detect a whisper in the wind almost drowned by my pounding heart, my name, like a lullaby rolls off his tongue. I look up, see a hand. I reach, but catch nothing but air. Caught in an endless free fall my heart begins to slow its racing pace. My breathing no longer comes in grasps but is rather steady as a drumbeat. Will this free fall ever end?
RISING
A hand grabs my outstretched one. I look up smiling, thinking it is my beloved. No, it is not him, but another man. He is handsome, about a year older. "Thank you," I whisper as he hauls me over the edge of the cliff. His only reply is a smile. I tell him my name, still nothing but a smile. "Maybe he is deaf," I think. I sign my thanks and name. His fingers begin to move. "You're welcome, my name is Fang. I am not deaf, but thank you for the practice." Out loud he speaks, "Come with me. I heard you as you passed a different floor. My conscious told me that no one would, could, be falling. There is a room available for you to change and get cleaned up in if you would like." "Yes, thank you. I have been falling for a while." "Dinner will also be ready soon if you desire food." "Again, thank you." I found myself rising again from my gloomy descent. Although not the same man my story started off with it has continued in a better direction.

AN OK so the falling is metaphorical since, you know, they have wings and all. The original guy in falling was Dylan if you didn't get that.
