Annabeth's pov.

I stood in the Athena cabin. My heart pounding, tears rolling down my cheeks, and depression flowing through my body like blood. I put a loaded gun to my head. I was about to pull the trigger when the door bust open. It was my boyfriend, Percy.
"No. Don't do it, Wise Girl," he said walking in front of me.
"I don't want to live," I said simply.
"Live for me," he whispered. "Please."
"There's no use for me in the world. I'm useless. And many other people have told me likewise."
"Well, they're wrong."
"So many people hurt me and don't want me. It's been going on my whole life. Rejection, pain, depression. Things would be better without me in the way."
He shook his head. "You know what? That's complete fucking bullshit. You are worth it."
"I don't see how or why."
I could hear slight anger in his voice now, "Just fucking trust me."
I winced. "...okay."
"Thank you. Now don't kill yourself."
I looked down. "No promises. I can't keep promises, so I can't make them."
"You're worth it, and this depression stuff is bullshit. He lowered his voice, "You are worth it and that's what I love about you."
I lowered the gun in my hand, shocked by his words. " Okay. I'm sorry. It's just that so many people put me down in my life that I've started to believe it..."
He took the gun from my hand and tossed it on my bed, before taking both my hands. "Don't they're wrong. Listen to the people who care about you."
I nodded, "Okay. Thank you." He engulfed me in a hug.
"No problem." He hugged me a while as the years kept rolling down, my heart slowed, and the depression flushed away. He saved me.
