author's note: i've always felt a little sorry for the scarlet crusade – this could be related to the DK quest line when you're in the starting zone, or any of the Scarlet Monastary dungeons.
summary: you are saving them/on being the obsessed/scarlet crusade(onslaught)
you pretend you don't hear their screams, you are saving them from a fate far worse than being dead after all, you are saving them; how it hurts that others turn their back on you and leave your cities and abandon you, they cast stones and call you heretic, fanatic, obsessed – how can they say that when you are trying so hard to bring the light into this forgotten place?
The tabard tangles in your armour and your weapon is heavy but the joyous chorus of redemption is ringing in your ears over the screeches of the damned.
