"Moouu," Akutagawa whined at his girlfriend sitting beside him on the grass, ".. don't eat anything else, Bunbuuun.."

The red-haired teen looked at him with a raised eyebrow, popped another piece of strawberry candy in her mouth and moved it around in her mouth for a moment before asking, "Why would I do that?"

"Because you're already sweet enough." The strawberry~blond boy grinned sheepishly at her then ate a piece of the same candy Marui had ate moments before.

Marui stifled her giggles, "Oh, yeah? What will happen if I keep eating them, then?"

Akutagawa rolled the line in his head before nodding and saying it. "Just looking at you will give me a toothache."

She couldn't stop herself from giggling then as a faint, pleased blush ran across her cheeks, "You're funny." And he couldn't help but grin wider at her words. He liked girls like her, who didn't get all flustered around him because of his looks or rank on the tennis team, and because –he'd never admit this out loud- she's a genius in tennis enough to beat him, and is fun enough to keep him wide awake.

"Ne, Bun-chan, look at me."

Marui turned to look at him curiously and locked gazes with him for a minute before he broke into a smile and said, "I've never seen such dark eyes with so much light in them."

The redhead girl turned her face, a tad bit embarrassed, and protested, "My eyes aren't dark."

"I know," he moved to wrap his arms around her shoulders, ".. your eyes are light purple, I've been looking at them for a long time, but the line is like that." He shrugged.

"Silly.." her soft blush darkened.

Her hands rose and held one arm around her when she heard him sigh. "Jirou? Is something wrong?"

The strawberry~blond boy looked upwards with a hint of a pout on his lips as he brought Marui against his chest and said, "I know I'm in love when I can't sleep," he rested his chin on her shoulder and smiled softly, ".. because reality is finally better than my dreams."

Marui's heart felt so light at the heartfelt line that she leaned forward, took a piece of strawberry pocky, turned around in the loose embrace and placed the tip of it in her mouth, "Here ya go, my sweet one~" she teasingly swirled it around before Akutagawa took the other end in his mouth.

When their lips finally met, the only thing registered in their minds was 'Sugar' because for each other, the distinct sweetness added to the strawberry cream made them fall for each other again.

"You keep doing that and I'll keep you my captive longer." He said softly when they parted, making her smile.

"My genius skills are all to make me your captive~"

A/N: I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the Sweet pair, but they look good together. I prefer to keep Jirou for Atobe and Marui with Jackal, but this could go, too.
