a/n: I don't write a lot of HP fanfic, but this one just popped up into my mind as I was sitting around. Just a short little drabble about my favorite character Bellatrix Lestrange. Reviews are ever helpful! Thanks!

Voice.

There was a voice in the back of her mind. Nagging. The voice was nagging. Bellatrix frowned. To be honest she couldn't tolerate this much longer. It was something that was new; she didn't know how to deal with it based on the fact that she didn't even know what it was.

It was talking to her though. Whispering things into her ears. She poked at her head subtly with her forefinger, hoping that maybe it was just a headache. The voice didn't shut up.

Trying to concentrate on everything but the noise, she fixated her eyes on a particle of dust floating down from the ceiling. It was still talking to her. Fuck.

Frustrated, she tapped her wand on the desk to no specific rhythm, eyes still focused on the particle of dust. She mentally told the voice to shut up. Apparently, the voice was a terrible listener, because it continued it's whining without any regard to Bellatrix's silent pleas.

Finally fed up, she rose from her chair forcefully, shoving it against the wooden table, and stormed away to the next room.

"Rodolfus!" She screamed, trying to cover the voice.

"What?" He came out, his face matching the annoyance on hers; he was clearly in the middle of something.

"There's a voice talking to me." She said plainly.

"A voice? Are you losing the rest of your sanity?" He asked, crossing his arms.

"Make it shut the fuck up." She gritted her teeth.

"Fine. What's speaking to you?" She could tell that he found this the slightest bit amusing.

"It's in my head."

"That, my dear, would be your conscience." He said sheepishly, rolling his eyes.

"Conscience?" She said, eyes popping. He shrugged.

"That's fucking impossible. I don't have one. Maybe I need to see a doctor." With that she walked away again, leaving Rodolfus standing in the middle of the dimly lit hall, the smallest of smiles playing lightly on his lips.
