A/N: Here it is the promised sequel… Just a few things you should know about this story.
Just a suggestion if you haven't read Waiting for Someone like You, you probably should just because this is the sequel and I might refer to events that took place in the story. It might not matter if you read it or not, because I don't know if I will use too many references from that story.
Oh and I intend for this story to be planned a little better so the chapters are longer and have more importance. This story will also be longer than nine chapters and hopefully contain better writing. Waiting for Someone like You really doesn't reflect upon my greatest work.
So here goes nothing….
Full Summary: Sequel to Waiting for Someone Like You. It is five years later and Ron and Hermione have broken up. They were engaged, but Ron had a night with a dizzy blonde. Chapter One
Five Years Later…
Hermione stood watching as her ex-boyfriend, Ron Weasley, made his way towards her in another attempt to apologize. It had been a year since they stopped dating. They were even engaged and getting married in a couple of weeks when they broke up.
Only they knew what happened between them and they wished to keep it that way to avoid any type of embarrassment or humiliation for either of them. In Hermione's opinion he deserved to be embarrassed.
Here he was, though, getting closer and closer to her and she knew exactly why. It happened every time she came to The Burrow for some type of family gathering that she was included in.
"Hi 'Mione," Ron said a little tensely.
"Hi," Hermione replied coldly, as if he was a stranger not somebody she had slept with or even dated for that matter.
Ron just stood there not sure where to start or what to do next. He figured Hermione wouldn't forgive him, but he had to try.
"I-I want you to forgive me," he stuttered.
"Ron please tell me why I should forgive you? You hurt me Ronald, and quite frankly I am sick of discussing this with you every single time I come around here. Are you trying to force me to never come around your family again?"
"No… and I know," he started serenely," I always approach you with this and it is only because I want you back so much. I want you to forgive me or at least give me a chance to make it up to you."
Hermione was tempted just to forgive him and let him hold her tightly and tell her he loved her always, but she quickly reminded herself of that night when she saw him break her heart.
Hermione slowly walked into her apartment that she shared with Ron. She had been living there ever since they got engaged.
She walked into the kitchen and slammed her briefcase onto the table. She was attending muggle college, even med school. She wanted to be a doctor. Ron didn't agree with this choice in career, but supported her nonetheless. Hermione, exhausted, then started some coffee and settled herself into a chair and began to read a book. Suddenly she felt cold and she went into the living room where the thermostat was located. She turned on the heat.
Hermione looked down the hall and saw a light on in her and Ron's room and went to turn it off. He wasn't home, or at least wasn't supposed to be. She just figure he was reading a book or looking over some work stuff, but when she opened the door she felt her stomach hop, and not in one of those good ways. She opened the door and saw Ron asleep with another woman snuggled up to his chest. She had a head full of wild blonde hair. Hermione couldn't believe it… she was shocked, well shocked was an understatement, she was flabbergasted. She had stopped breathing and made a gasping sound for air. She then realized Ron heard her. He was looking up with disbelief in his eyes. A pain washed over Hermione like a title wave. She felt betrayed and hurt.
Hermione ran out of the room and rushed into the kitchen. She wanted to open the book and throw herself into it. She wanted to be as far away from Ron as possible. after her and when he caught up to her he grabbed her arm.
"Hermione… I am… I am sorry. I didn't want this to happen."
"Well Ronald it didn't look that way to me. I cannot believe you did this to me.."
With that Hermione took her engagement ring off of her finger and chucked the diamond at him. She sunk to the ground, her back against the cabinets, and put her head in between her knees. She cried. She sat there on the kitchen floor and when ballistic. She had never been this hurt in her life. Ron stood there stupidly watching a very hurt Hermione cry until she passed out.
When she woke up she was at her parents. She could feel the dried tears crusted on her face and in the corners of her eyes. Soon she began to cry again; the new tears washing away the old ones.
Hermione stood there in The Burrow in front of Ron tears beginning to flow out of her chocolate eyes.
"N-no Ron. I can't forgive you. I won't avail anything from a relationship with you except immense amounts of pain."
With that she ran out of The Burrow leaving a very heartbroken Ron behind. Ron stood there the whole house watching him as he settled down into a chair and began to sulk.
A/n: I know it is short. It is a first chapter and I just wanted to see what people thought before I went any further. Please review!
