Greatest Fan Of Your Life

They were laying in Booth's bed, listening to the sound of the rain pouring down outside the window. They had become comfortable with each other over the last few years they had been working together. Booth had taken her quirks in stride. He never alienated her and read all her books. She had saved him on more than one occasion. She was living proof of his love, and the love they shared. She captivated him in so many ways. She was there for him, in everyway. She kept him from burning out. She kept them together, their team. She was their heart.

"Booth."

"Yeah, Bones?"

"Quit thinking about whatever is on your mind and go to sleep."

"I would, but we have that thing tomorrow and it will be the first time we've appeared anywhere as a couple."

"Are you really that nervous?"

"Not about going to the event. I'm the greatest fan of your life. I'll go anywhere for you."

"Sleep, Booth."

"Sure, Bones."

"I'm your greatest fan too." She whispered."

"Sleep, Bones."

And the rain falls angry on the tin roof

As we lie awake in my bed

You're my survival, you're my living proof

My love is alive – not dead

Tell me that we belong together

Dress it up with the trappings of love

I'll be captivated

I'll hang from your lips

Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

I'll be your crying shoulder

I'll be loves suicide

I'll be better when I'm older

I'll be the greatest fan of your life.

And I've dropped out, I've burned up, I've fought my way back from the dead, I've tuned in, I've turned on, remembered the things that you said.

I'll be your crying shoulder

I'll be loves suicide

I'll be better when I'm older

I'll be the greatest fan of your life.
