"Ash, get up," Spencer leaned over the form of the sleeping brunette, an indulgent smile crossing her face as her girlfriend burrowed her face into the pillow, pretending not to hear.

"Ugghhnn," she pulled the covers over her head, trying to hold on to the last moments of quiet before her world spun uncontrollably into the madness that had become her days, "just five more minutes, please?"

"Nope, you've got a schedule, and you know it." Spencer kneeled by the bed, holding a steaming cup of coffee, knowing the smell would do more than she could to rouse her grumpy partner.

"This is all your fault you know," she cracked open one blurry eye, and glared mockingly at the blonde.

"We go through this every morning, every morning it's the same thing."

"Well it is your fault," with a sigh she pushed the covers off, and threw her legs over the edge of the bed, smiling down at the woman in front of her, gratefully taking and sipping on the coffee, "it was your idea to write a book."

"Oh no, don't put that on me. I told you to find an outlet to help you heal and stay sober, I said nothing about writing a best-selling memoir," she stood, brushing a lock of loose mocha hair behind Ashley's ear, "you should be happy you're so cute in the morning and you're absolutely adorable when you're grumpy, otherwise we'd have some rough times."

"I'm not grumpy in the mornings," a pout formed on her lips, and a soft frown creased her brows.

"Yeah, you are, but I love you anyway."

"Do grumpy people do this?" Ashley jumped up, chugged the rest of her coffee, and grabbed Spencer by the waist, spinning her in a circle so quickly the other girl's feet lifted off the ground, "or this?" She sat her down and began two stepping her way out the door, bellowing Beyoncé's Single Ladies at the top of her lungs, before spinning around and conga dancing back towards her girlfriend, who was doubled over on the edge of the bed, tears streaming down her face from laughter. "Would I, Ashley, do this if I were so grumpy?"

Spencer wiped the tears from her eyes, and felt the laughter beginning to die in her throat as she took in the kneeling form before her, the open box that held the glistening white gold band and diamond, and the seriousness with which the chocolate eyes locked onto her own and felt her breath catch in her throat, "Ashley…"

"What do you say, huh? I thought spontaneity would be the best way to go about this. I'd just make myself too nervous if I tried to plan it out, and—"

"Yes."

"—I understand if I'm not the person you would—yes? You said yes!" She pulled the blonde up, unable to stop the laughter that bubbled up from within her, "I don't know what to say."

"Don't say anything except you're going to cancel all of your appearances today."

"Done."

"I love you."

"I wouldn't have gathered," the smile on her face spread further, "I love you too."
