Charlie
Tonks was walking into the Great Hall during the Christmas holidays and noticed Charlie Weasley was sitting alone at the Gryffindor table; something almost entirely unheard of for him. She walked over to him and sat down beside him.
"Wotcher Charlie," she said as she sat down.
"Huh? Oh hey Tonks…" he replied, looking as though he had been in some sort of dream world and had just woken up. He seemed quieter than usual.
"What's wrong?" Tonks asked, not liking seeing her friend upset.
"Nothin'," he replied, scowling down the table at a girl in their year who Tonks had seen him with several times recently.
"Who's she?" Tonks asked, indicating the girl he had just scowled at.
"Henrietta Malkin," he replied, looking back at the table.
"Why did you scowl at her then?" she asked
"She dumped me for a Slytherin," Charlie replied, sounding quite upset and glaring disgustedly at the Slytherin table. Tonks gently put an arm round him and hugged him.
"Aww it's her loss hey?" Tonks said hugging him again.
Charlie looked at Tonks, then hugged her back. He smiled at her and she smiled back at him. "You really think it's her loss Tonks?" Charlie asked, wondering why Tonks cared so much.
Tonks blushed slightly and replied "Yeah… I mean I'm sure you'll be able to find someone else pretty quickly! I mean loads of girls fancy you."
Charlie laughed as Tonks blushed and asked "Loads of girls fancy me do they? Shame none of them ever tell me that isn't it?" he laughed again, feeling better now Tonks had cheered him up a bit and enjoying being able to laugh at something.
Tonks laughed "Yeah loads of girls fancy you. Well I know one that does anyway…" She said, blushing furiously.
Charlie smiled as he realised who the girl that fancied him was. The truth was that he had fancied her for some time. He just didn't have the courage to ask her out. "So who is this girl then?" he asked, pretending not to know to see if she would tell him.
"Me…" she replied, in almost a whisper.
Charlie grinned and said "Good."
"Good?" Tonks asked, wondering what that was supposed to mean.
"Yeah good," Charlie said laughing, then he kissed her, "Because I fancy you as well!"
"Really? Wow!" Tonks was amazed that he actually liked her back. Then she realised he had just kissed her so she kissed him back and smiled.
"Does this mean you'll go out with me then?" Charlie asked, already knowing the answer.
"Of course," Tonks replied, smiling.
