The streets were dark. Most people had long since turned to bed, but the magical girls remained on duty. A girl with long black hair that rustled in the wind, named Homura Akemi, was sitting upon a rooftop, keeping an eye on her city. Her thoughts were racing. She felt the breeze but at the same did not.
The only thing that was clear to her was the approaching footsteps. She immediately knew who it was.
"Mami Tomoe." She said bluntly. "
Yes." She said. The blond girl with tight ringlets sat down beside Homura, tucking her knees close to her chest.
"I...haven't been very honest with you." Mami began. "About your true intentions?" Homura suggested.
"Yeah...I know you think I'm just..." She went on. "You know I won't let you turn Madoka and Sayaka into magical girls. I won't." Homura pressed.
Mami quieted instantly. Her cheeks reddened.
"That's not what I meant." She said. She leaned her face in, giving Homura a kiss on the cheek. "
T-That's what I meant." The two sat in shock.
Homura, blushing but retaining her emotionless expression, kissed her. "Goodbye, Mami Tomoe." She leapt from the building, landing and smiling to herself.
