Now he's alone and wandering back to the place where they had once met and starts reflecting back on their past, and happy memories that they had.

I Stand Alone
The autumn is passing; the winter is approaching
I stand; stand alone
Where the leaves rattle and the wind whistles
Looking at the setting sun and distant sky, I think; think about you
You and I once stood, stood together
Where the cherry blossoms grew
Where the smell of life and liveliness were well understood
You, cheerful as the summer sun
Yet also like the midnight moon glowing from the distant stars
That has all now become the past
You are now gone and the summer sun has left
Winter is near; only memories remain, memories to love and cherish
I stand; stand alone
