It was my eighteenth birthday party. Actually it was
a big party that my friends and family were having
for me. They tried to make it a surprise party, but
Mina accidentally told me all about it! So any way
back to the party...I was having fun with my friends,
family, and my really cute, sweet, handsome boyfriend,
Darien.
But then he suddenly disappeared while I was talking
to my great aunt Ruth and so did Beryl.
"Serena did you see them?" Lita asked while coming
inside off the balcony. My other best friends, Amy,
Mina and Raye, came over to me, too.
"Who are you talking about Lita?" Raye asked.
"Darien and Beryl!"
"What about Darien?" I asked jumping out of a daydream
of Darien and my wedding day.
"Beryl and he were holding hands and went out onto the
balcony!"
"What?" Mina said since I couldn't seem to say anything,
yet!
"Are you sure?" Amy asked.
"I think I know what my best friend's 'boyfriend' looks
like."
"Are you going to be ok?" Raye asked with concern.
"Just...Let...Me...Be." I think I said between
sobs.
I could here the music playing many other songs, but
I could not tell you what they were. I just wanted to
cry. Which I did!
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
I didn't really believe what Lita told me. I mean she
is my best friend and all but I just could not believe
that my beloved Darien would do something like that,
Ever. But then I could not ignore the evidence...
Darien and Beryl walked through the balcony doors
together. Not at all a cute couple, but Beryl was
smiling like she was 'dating a king'. Then I saw her
ring finger, and there was Darien's class ring. And
I just cried harder.
"Serena, are you sure you are doing ok?" Raye asked.
"Does it look like I'm doing ok? How does anyone here
I know how I feel, it's never happened to any of you?
It IS MY PARTY, AND I CAN CRY IF I WANT TO!"

Hey how is it going? I know, no Darien cheating on
Serena, but Serena will get her revenge in the sequel!
