So like I said, this is a Harry Potter themed Christmas story, after the war, but they have all returned to Hogwarts. It´s all sweet and happy. Hope you enjoy it!
"Go on, mate. I still have to get Hermione´s present!" Ron yelled out of the bathroom. The dormitory was completely deserted. Everybody was already downstairs, in the Great Hall, including Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Luna.
Harry picked up all of his gifts, almost forgetting Ginny´s, which was so small, that he had almost overlooked it. He´d thought about the Christmas present for a long time, but he was sure that he´d found the right ones.
Seeing that Ron would take his time, Harry went on and left for the Great Hall. The moving portraits were all talking loudly and none of them were alone. Harry took two steps at a time, only thinking of Ginny in her knee-length dress and high ponytail. Her present had been the easiest, Ginny loved Quidditch, so he´d written her a coupon for a brand-new broomstick.
He smiled. He´d arrived at the Great Hall and was now peeking inside.
Like always, not a lot of students had wanted to stay at Hogwarts for Christmas. The four tables were empty compared to the usual dinner time. Hermione, Ginny and Neville were talking to each other, while Luna looked around, her eyes resting on them once in a while. Her eyes fell on Harry and she smiled and pointed him out to the others.
"Harry, merry Christmas!" Hermione said as she hugged him tightly. "You too, Hermione." He gave her a peck on the cheek. " Well, hey there!", Ginny laughed and pushed Hermione gently to the side.
Harry put his hands on her waist. "Merry Christmas, honey." She smirked at kissed him. "Merry Christmas, Harry!" Harry looked up at Luna. He let go of Ginny and hugged her.
"Happy Christmas, Luna. How´s your dad doing? Any news?" She shook her head. "No, but you know, I think it was a Billywig bite, but dad doesn´t think so. Well, I think he´s better, but he´ll have to stay at St. Mungo's for at least a week." Harry bit back his laugh and continued to wish Neville a merry Christmas.
"Where´s Ron?" Hermione asked as they sat down. "Getting your present. He spent hours thinking of what to get you." Hermione grinned. "Really?"
But Harry wasn´t listening anymore, he was staring at Ginny who wore a short blue dress. "You look beautiful." He grabbed her hand. "Well, you know, I thought it being Christmas and all."
She looked right into his eyes. "Listen, I didn´t get you a big present. I just- I didn´t have the time and honestly, you can afford almost everything so why bother?"
She raised her hand, because Harry had tried to interrupt. "No offense. I didn´t mean to sound mean. But you know what I meant. So instead, I got you this."
Ginny pulled out a red ribbon and tied it around her head. "Me!" She laughed. Harry couldn´t be happier. He had his friends around him. He was spending his last Christmas at Hogwarts with all of them.
He loved Ginny more than anything and her being here was just fulfilling. He loved that everyone was okay. That Neville and Luna were kind of dating, if not in the normal way. He loved that Ron and Hermione were finally together after all these years. And Ginny. Everything was perfect, so perfect.
"I love it. It´s perfect."
Now, that was it, I hope you liked it. It´s not that long but it´s kinda happy and fluffy and just christmasy...!
I hope you guys have a very mery Christmas and enjoy your holidays!
XOXO
Mary
