The Great Maze Chall/Comp: Definitely don't [rush] things. Adults know all about that. Old people in love can be cute or horrific. Tell me all about it.

Bathilda hummed quietly as she poured out her evening tea. It was very quiet around here these days, no children played around the village now. She could remember the days that Godric's Hollow was crowded with wizarding kids. The local muggle children had joined in with them as well. Bathilda smiled at these memories, stirring her tea slowly.

"The old days, hmm." She mused to herself, blowing softly on the hot drink before taking a small sip. "The days rush past. Oh yes, how things have changed."

Her eyes drifted towards an old moving photograph sitting proudly upon the fireplace. A gentle smile crossed her face upon seeing the familiar laughing man, the sparkling happiness in his eyes showed his age more than the bald patches upon his head. Bathilda sighed, taking another sip of her tea. She looked at the next photo, they were only a young couple in this one; both grinning wildly at the camera. They were so in love and carefree.

"How I wish you were here Baldric," she sighed, shaking her head. "Oh, how I wish it terribly."

There was a bang suddenly, followed by loud footsteps that indicated her great-nephew making his way downstairs. Bathilda moved over to the kitchen door, spotting the young man making his way to the front door without a word.

"Gellert?"

He flashed her a grin. "I am going over to the Dumbledore's, Aunt Bathilda. I'll be home tonight."

She nodded, walking back into the house without another word. Gellert was always spending time with Albus nowadays, the two boys had become great friends. Bathilda would never admit that she was fairly lonely in the house these days. She'd expected her sister's grandson to always be home, but she very rarely saw him. He was always over at the Dumbledore's.

"I wish you were here Baldric," Bathilda repeated, this time looking at the moving black-and-white photograph of them only a few days before he died, kissing gently; trying to take away his pain with all the love she could give him in those last few days. "I sincerely wish it."

It was mentioned that Bathilda was Gellert's great-aunt so this suggested that she was already quite old at the time. This idea suddenly came to me when I was wondering if she'd ever been married, or what her life had been like before the Dumbledore's then Gellert came to Godric's Hollow. As you can tell, this takes place in the summer of 1899, before the death of Ariana.
