Drabble – Go III

The geese glided along the pond gracefully, they had no idea they were being watched.

Two little bundles of fur suddenly hurled themselves from the bushes and ran by the pond, scattering the geese, honking loudly as they filled the air. The puppies ran to the other side of the pond and into the bushes.

They sat on their hunches patiently waiting for the geese to settle down on the water again.

When everything was finally quiet, they ran by the pond and the geese hooked their anger at them as they took once more to the air.

Alerted to the sounds, Alexander and Hephaestion arrived at the pond just as the puppies happily teased the geese one more time.

They watched in amazement as the puppies settled down hidden quietly again and waited.

Showing a patience the two men would have never knew they possessed, they stayed hidden and quiet until the geese settled down. They then romped playfully to the other side of the pond, scattering the honking mess.

"We should probably stop them."

"And spoil all of their fun? I think I will use this maneuver myself sometime."

"Way to go boys!" Alexander yelled proudly, grinning widely.
