Twelve Tolls for a New Day
By SMYGO4EVA

Both Yugi and Téa's feet ached at the end of the day.

It was feeling that they were used to by now. Téa's because she had just done a double shift at one job for Burger World and then gone onto another; Yugi's feet were sore because he had been working at the Game Shop for an extra hour.

But now their shoes were kicked aside and their toes were in the cool grass as they lay on the lawn, gazing up at the night. Yugi huddled against Téa, who drew her arm around his shoulder. Their fingers were linked between them and Yugi gazed up at the bright shooting star.

He didn't wish for anything that night.

And then they heard it – the twelve tolls for a new day, and signaling another sunrise, but it would be long after watching the stars.
