Prologue:

"If only the people of this accursed village knew my pain." Said Sasuke as he walked through the empty street to the gate of the Hidden Leaf Village. "Then maybe they would understand my true purpose in life. It's a shame really, that I couldn't bring anybody of worth with me. Such as Naruto, if anything was worthwhile in this horrible village it's that Naruto and I became best friends."

"If that's the truth, Sasuke, then why are you leaving?" Said a voice which sounded strangely familiar to Sasuke. But Sasuke already knew that she would be there. "Go home, Sakura." Said Sasuke to the voice. "Why, why would you just leave us in the middle of the night without saying goodbye? If Naruto really was your best friend then you would have the dignity to say goodbye to at least him if nobody else." Said Sakura. "Because, I'll admit one thing about Naruto and that is that I couldn't beat him at this time. Not with my level of power. Orochimaru offered me power and I plan to take it and use it to defeat my brother, Itachi." Said Sasuke scornfully.

"Sasuke…" Started Sakura.

"SHUT UP!" Screamed Sasuke. "You have no idea what you're talking about! You've had parents your whole life! That day, in the very beginning, when you told me that being scolded by your parents is the equivalent of what I feel I knew that there was no way you'd ever understand. I was right. You still don't this pain is so real that its unbearable I've actually contemplated killing myself, Sakura, but the only thing that kept me going was the knowledge that I had a purpose in this life."

"Right to stay in the Village and…"

"No… don't say another word, Sakura. The only thing that kept me going in this life was knowing that I and I alone had to defeat Itachi and avenge my clan."

"Sasuke…" Started another familiar voice to Sasuke.

"Well, I didn't expect to see you here Kakashi. But you were always a hinderence to my gain of power as well. Hmph the only thing that I can thank you for as a Sensi is that you taught me the Chidori. Which is the very technique that I intend to perfect in order to kill Itachi."

"Sasuke I said this once before… don't let yourself become consumed with revenge. If you attain it all you will find is emptyness." Said Kakashi.

"Hmph, the last time you spat that bullshit at me all I did was tell you to shut up. Did you really think that the answer would change now? Because if you did, you're dead wrong." Replied Sasuke.

"Sasuke, Please, don't go! If you stay I can make everyday the happiest day of your life and we don't have to worry about pain and suffering! I promise you! I'll even help you attain revenge one day! Just please don't go. Even if you do… Take me with you? Sniffled Sakura.

"I won't do either of those things." Sasuke calmly replied. " But I will say this, you really are annoying Sakura. Well I'll be going now."

"NO! SASUKE WAIT!" Screamed Sakura. After she screamed it, she immdeiately felt a presence behind her.

"Sakura… Thank you." Whispered Sasuke.

Everything went black.
