Dear Countries, Islands, Principalities, Cities, States and Counties of the world.
I am going to be honest with you. I don't really want to write to you lot, however my boss insists that I educate you about my existence, and so here I am, stuck writing letters to you for goodness knows how long. What's worse is he wants me to be informal, but not too informal, and he said that if he catches me swearing, cracking any potentially offensive jokes, or even using God's name in vain, he'll take away my free ticket to France. So, if any of you catch me please be a dear and don't report me to my boss, and don't take any offense. Most of the things I say are not to be taken seriously...like Jeremy Clarxson's comedy comments...
So, let's get down to business, shall we?
My name is Anna Torode, and I am the personification of Guernsey. For those of you who don't know, Guernsey is the second largest island in the Channel Islands. The Channel Islands are a group of tiny little dots on the map that sit in the bay of St Malo, in the British Isles. I am self governing. I am not part of Britain, or the United Kingdom, however I may take advantage of the human's confusion over this matter and say otherwise, but only when it benefits me.
I'm meant to tell you more about me now, but I'm not very good at that, so I think I'll leave it at that. Please don't be intimidated by me, I may sound like it, but unlike England, I won't bite, and I most certainly will not be cruel. Although I don't want to write to you, I am still interested in meeting new people, and speaking with old friends...or enemies, and I will be happy to answer any questions you ask. I'll make me seem more friendly by adding in a smiley face for you too :)

Bleh, it's probably rubbish, but what the hey! Tis just an experiment really, so it doesn't matter much. ^^' I hope you think my OC seems okay so far. She's not supposed sound confident, sarcastic or snobby at all, but it looks like she is when she's in a bad mood...and not talking with people face to face. ^^' I guess she's a bit of a coward really. :)
