Chapter 1
Donna could not believe what she had done, she had broken every rule they had agreed on to never break. She had broken her own rule. It had not been planned, but after talking with both Louis and Mike, she knew she just could not hide from her feelings anymore.
Which were why she had kissed Harvey, the man she had known for over 13 years, Donna knew she had loved Harvey for a very long time. But it were when Harvey had started dating Paula that she knew she had to let him know somehow.
Sure, she knew it were so wrong to kiss him while he are in a relationship with Paula, but for once she thought about herself and the way she feels. And for a brief moment Harvey did kiss her back too.
That were two weeks ago. Now nothing were the same, he were nothing but bitter towards her, pretending like their 13 year friendship never happened, something that truly frustrated her, which were why she found herself outside his office.
Donna stormed into the office without even giving a warning, she needed him to let her in, talk to him somehow. "Harvey." The red haired woman whispered to get his attention.
Harvey had heard Donna enter his office, as it seemed like she knew he were thinking about her and their kiss two weeks ago. The kiss that changed everything between them. He were pissed at her for making such a move, especially with him in a committed relationship. "What?" He hissed, looking up at her.
"Can we please talk about what happened? I don't like it being this way between us." She sighed, knowing it were her own fault, but had no regrets whatsoever.
"You made it this way between us Donna, when you kissed me. What the hell were you thinking? I'm in a committed relationship if you can't remember." He raised his voice at her.
"I'm in love with you Harvey, and deep down I know you are too. You are just hiding with Paula. Why can't you just admit your feelings for once?" She yelled at him, trying not to cry.
Harvey slam his hand hardly down against his desk, as he looks at her. "I have nothing to admit. I'm not in love with you, I love Paula, so stop saying that I am hiding. WHY WOULD I Fall For Someone like you? You are nothing. Now get out." He shouted at her, ignoring the pain he saw in her eyes.
"Harv." She pleaded, tears building up in her eyes.
"GET OUT Donna." He shouted furiously at her, once again ignoring the pain in her eyes.
Donna sobs, quickly turn and run out of the office, not caring if anyone in the building heard them, she ran into the ladies rest room, falling down onto the floor, leaning against the wall as she sobbed loudly.
This she couldn't do anymore. He would never admit he love her, he will never take a chance on them. She had lost him to Paula.
Donna knew what needed to be done, no matter how it hurts her, it were her only option, because living like this didn't work anymore.
She had to leave the firm. She had to leave him, so she didn't die of a broken heart.
Because that would happen if she stayed, Donna could not take the hurt anymore. For herself she had to leave, even if it will break her heart even more.
Donna never had wanted it to come to this.. But it did and there were nothing that she could do about that.
Meanwhile with Harvey in his office. He felt so bad for hurting Donna like that, but he had to, to make her see that they never will be together. That he just can't risk it.
He is happy with Paula. At least he tried to tell himself that.. He had no idea what tomorrow would bring, and that were something he were worried about.
He just hoped that this fight did not push Donna out of his life, that were his biggest fear. Donna were someone that he just couldn't loose.
