A/N: Post-Inheritance, talking about another rider, which is Eragon and Arya's daughter.

Naeridana, more commonly known as Rida, ran out the door. She paused in front of her house. She smiled and whistled. Her dragon, Ophelia, came flying down from the clouds. She was a soft shade of orange, the kind you see at sunrises and sunsets.

Hey Opheila, let's go for a ride. I need to clear my mind.

Alright, I know the perfect place for that.

Rida climbed aboard Ophelia, and she took off into the sky. Flying amongst the clouds, Rida closed her green eyes. The wind felt nice on her face. Her brown hair flew behind her. Rida lived in a world of dragons and dragon riders. She was training to be a dragon rider, and her instructor was her father. Her father, Eragon, was one of the greatest dragon riders out there. Her mother, Arya, was another dragon rider, and Queen of the elves. There were traces of elfish features on Rida, the biggest one being her ears and her size. She could sing beautiful as well. Rida has been learning about her parent's history. Rida has also been learning tricks from her uncle, Murtagh.

Rida opened her eyes and smiled as they flew to the sun. One of her best friends that she loved to visit was her cousin, Ismira. Technically Ismira was the daughter of her father's cousin, but it was easier just to say that those two were cousins.

Rida flew without doubts or fear. She didn't know that something big was about to happen. Just like her father, one day, her life will change.
