Chapter 1
A man,standing alone in the depths of Goro's lair. Hands dripping of blood from another man. A portal,closing in front of him. He turns away and walks out of the lair and to the outside. Awaiting him was Raiden,The Thunder God. He had done it once again,he had saved Earthrealm. Liu Kang sent Shinnok back to the Netherrealm. "Liu...you must return home,Kitana has a message waiting for you." said Raiden as he wishes his fellow Earthrealm friend goodbye as he was promoted to Elder God Status. Liu got onto the next boat home to the rebuilt Shaolin Monk Temple. As the boat sails the vast ocean,he stands there,thinking about Kitana,the woman who helped him during the Outworld Invasion. The last time he saw her was helping her defeat the reborn then-controlled Goro. He then stands on the front of the ship,seeing land,his home after weeks of Mortal Kombat. The Boat finally lands on shore as Liu Kang grabs his bag and throws it over his back. He steps off the boat and starts taking the long walk to the rebuilt Shaolin Monk Temple. "Kitana...what's going on...what is this message you sent me. It has to be important,I have to find out." Liu Kang thought in his head. He finally makes it to the Temple. He then sees his friend Kung Lao,waiting for him. "Kung Lao,what a surprise. Were you waiting for me?" said Liu Kang after smiling in front of Kung Lao. "Yes I have Liu,a small portal is waiting for you in your chambers." said Kung Lao as he shows Liu to his chambers. Liu then lays on a small bed,looking up. He then starts to shut his eyes,as he does,he starts to see colors. As he starts to dream,he walks further to the white light. He then starts to see a figure standing in the middle of the white light. The figure finally reveals itself as Liu Kang says,"Kitana?" "Yes Liu Kang,it is I" It was Kitana,princess of the realm Edenia. "But I thought you were gonna l..." Liu was cut off as Kitana speaks. "With Shinnok's destruction,you have not only saved the earth. But you've also saved Edenia." Liu smiles as Kitana continues. "For that,I can never repay you." Liu gets closer to her as he says,"Knowing that you survived is all that I need." Liu then bows down to Kitana. She smiles as she says,"As Heir to the throne of Edenia,I offer you a chance to rule at my side...as King of Edenia...forever." Liu starts to think for a minute. He starts to have flashbacks of past Mortal Kombats he had fought in. His body has weakened for years of Mortal Kombat. He then looks at Kitana and says,"I...accept your offer. I will become King of Edenia,as long as I have you Kitana...as my queen." Kitana smiles and shakes her head. He then wakes up from the dream. Liu sits up,seeing the small portal close. A note lays on the floor as he goes to pick it up. He unwraps it as it says,"You have 24 Hours to say goodbye to your friends,after that,a portal will open to take you to Edenia. I will see you then... love...Princess...I mean...Queen Kitana." With that...Liu Kang starts packing for his trip and his future...as King of Edenia.
