Hikaru yawned loudly, before snuggling against the couch, a contented smile on her face. A fire burred merrily before her, casting a flickering light across her face, and steam rose from the mug filled with hot chocolate in her hand. Outside the windows that stood behind her, snow fell in a flurry of white movement.
"There you are." Hikaru turned to see Lantis, followed closely by Eagle, enter the room. "We where looking for you."
"Move over." Eagle said cheerfully, sitting down on the couch next to Hikaru. Lantis stayed silent, as he sat in an overstuffed armchair.
"Where's the others?" The magic knight of fire asked. Eagle grinned and draped an arm over Hikaru's shoulder, and Hikaru leaned against him, seeing as he made a much better pillow that the couch.
"Let's see... Umi and Ascot seem to have vanished, Fuu and Ferio have also disappeared, Caldina and Lafarga are also among the missing, Clef and Preasa are talking... That everyone Lantis?"
"You forgot us." Lantis said dryly.
"Oh that's right! Hikaru and Eagle are snuggling on the couch," This earned a laugh from Hikaru and a glare from Lantis. "And Lantis is being anti- social in his chair." And yet another with a glare from Lantis. "Now do I have everyone?" Eagle asked pleasantly.
Lantis snorted slightly. "You're point has been made." He grumbled. To Hikaru and Eagle's surprise, he stood up, walked over to the couch, and sat down on Hikaru's other side.
Hikaru blinked for a minute, then, grinning, she leaned against him, snuggling against his shoulder. Eagle frowned.
"Hey!" He objected. "I'M suppose to snuggle with Hikaru!"
Hikaru laughed lightly. "You don't get it Eagle. Lantis DOESN'T snuggle. When he decides to sit close enough, you snuggle him."
Eagle raised his eyebrows, a smile growing on his face. "Right." He then stood up, sat on Lantis's other side, and curled up against him. Hikaru laughed at the startled expression on Lantis's face.
"You're surrounded!" Announced Eagle's voice from where his face was pressed against Lantis's shoulder. "Surrender at once!"
"Or prepare to go down!" Hikaru said gleefully, taking the time to look up at Lantis, a wide grin on her face.
Lantis paused, only for a second. A smile was twitching at the corners of his mouth. "C. None of the above." Lantis said. Before Eagle or Hikaru could do anything, they found themselves being tickled without mercy.
Laughter rang through the halls of the palace. The snowflakes outside continued their attack on the windows, in search of a way in. But had they found one, all that would have greeted them would have bean would have been warmth, and not just the kind that came from fireplaces.
