This is my first story, and it's going to be quite long so….let me know if you like it!
Unlocking Adventure
Chapter 1
Hi! I'm Lexa Parris. I am 17 years old and live in Salem, Massachusetts. I live there with my older brother Marcus, older sister Crista, younger sisters Alie and Aimee, and of course my mom and dad. I go to Salem high school with my best friend Tira. She lives with her dad here in the basement of this weird old guy named Fredrickson Leerock. Tira isn't the wealthiest girl around. Her mother died from lack of nutrition. We tried to help but she'd keep telling us that she was a woman and she could get through her sickness alone, but she didn't.
I remember one time when Tira was 7 and I was 8 and she and her dad came to live in our guest apartment. That was so much fun; like we were sisters, but they had to move out because they didn't have enough to pay us rent. You may be asking…"well doesn't Tira's father have a job?" The answer to that is simple; he's a carnie. But he's only a carnie when it comes to town; which is about every 3 months, in the summer.
I also remember once when Tira and I were both 11 years old. You know the age of 11; you're old enough to do what ever you want to do. Anyway, we ran away to the beach. After a day or so of that, we found this old suitcase. It was black and velvet and inside it…wait, I'm going too fast. Let us start out from the very beginning.
