A/N: Yes, I know. A poem! This wasn't actually intended to be a Doctor fanfic. But I was reading it through after I finished it and kind of thought... "Hmmm, that could be Rose. If you used a lot of imagination." So I did. And randomly decided to put it up here. Please excuse any cliched ideas. Or point them out. So yeah. This is different to the poems I normally write.

Also, it may read slightly funny, because it's actually supposed to be a song.

Disclaimer: Doctor Who belongs to the BBC. But everyone already knew that.

Times change –

They go on without you.

People change -

You know they have to.

But I don't want to face the future,

If it means losing things that I love.

So I'll turn my back on the future

And look to the past,

One, last time.

-

I held the world in my hand,

But accidentally let it go.

Now my hand's empty and cold,

And there's nowhere left to go.

I know I shouldn't sit here waiting,

For something that's never going to come.

But I'm stuck in the moment,

Trying to move past,

One, last time.

-

They say that change is just a part of living,

But it's a part I'd rather live without.

-

My heart's still beating,

Though it could be broken in two.

My mind's still working,

But won't let me think things through.

You know that memories are easier,

Than a future you can't predict.

So I'll turn my back on the future,

And look to the past,

One, last time.

-

They say that pain is just a part of living,

But it's a part I'd rather live without.

Ok, constructive criticism VERY much appreciated - I'm sure that this could be much, much better. Any ideas?
