When I Die

When I die, I would be behind the steering wheels of a car. Turning the circle round and round, maybe I'd be drunk with silent rage born from excessive alcohol. However, I know you'll be sitting there beside me. You might be in a Bacchanalian state and you'd hum made up tunes with crazy words, telling me to pump the gas and carry on. You'll lift your hands to heaven and scream out my window. And I won't laugh on my end, I'll just smile then I'll hit a curve and twist the car to make a bend.

When I die, I would meet a semi, a really big one that'll meet us on the side of the road that we shouldn't be. We'll forget the beer dancing in our heads for a while then we'll start to panic as I play with the wheel. Adrenalin would creep inside our bodies and make hairs in our heads, down to the ones near our toes stand still in horror, in fear, in astonishment.

When I die, the truck's body will ram against the tiny black car that had me and you trapped in with our seat belts holding us still. It'll destroy the car good; it'll go spinning out of control maybe to some level or degree it might turn upside down and crash our bodies. Somewhere, our bones will break and you'll be held in surprise as we begin to tumble in jagged circles. Our head will smash against the top and we'll break our necks along in the process. We might collide against each other at one time and the best it could was break our ribs. My face might break the tinted glass in front of me and I'll loose my eyes to sharp objects blinding away. You might be pushed back some way and you'll lose your back bone from the force.

When I die, I would never be alone now that I know I have you to hold my hand. I'll make sure our hands are clasped tight around each other; our fingers would intertwine in that perfect ten. Then when anyone would find our forever slumbering bodies, they'd be surprised at our lifeless knuckles, held on even at that last moment.

If I still can, I'll brush your hair back and say, "It was fun"
