1. LIVING DRUSLEY'S

Dolores Umbridge grinned gleefully as she watched Jenifer Potter being levitated into St. Mungos wizarding hospital. She had finally gotten what she had so desperately wanted for all these years, Jenifer Potter, supposed Savior of the wizarding world and soon-to-be third year student at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry was now under Ministry control. Earlier that evening the department for detecting underage magic had received a notification that the trace spell on Potter's wand had gone off. Umbridge along with a team of Aurors had immediately responded, deciding that Potter was either causing damage or in the midst of yet another one of her far too frequent, ridiculous adventures. Arriving at Number Four Privet Drive, the aurors, along with Umbridge (she could not miss this!) discovered Jenifer Potter being brutally beaten by her whale of an Uncle and walrus of a cousin. The girl's wand had been sending off sparks as her innate magic reacted to the brutal assault, hence why the trace had gone off, or so said Madame Hopkirk, who Umbridge deemed to be an expert on these matters. Potter's relatives have been taken into immediate custody by the aurors, and Potter had been rushed to Mungos. Fudge, being the Minister and all, had made it easy for her and he had immediately revoked the Dursleys guardian rights, turning Potter into a ward of the Ministry, where she would reside until a good, respectable wizarding family had adopted her. Of course Dumbledore had arrived the second those damnable wards had gone off, claiming to be Jenny's magical guardian and such nonsense. But Fudge had argued, quite eloquently if he did say so himself, that Potter's guardians were clearly unfit, and that Dumbledore, being the one responsible for placing her in such circumstances, was now under investigation himself, which in turn made him an unfit guardian for any wizarding youth, let alone the 'Girl-Who-Lived'.

-Graphic description of injuries-

Once at Mungos, Potter was rushed into surgery, the girl had been shot with a gun, she had been beaten, with what looked like a belt, her rib bones are broken completely and would need to be regrown completely. Her back, buttocks and thighs were covered in welts dog bites and contusions, her chest and upper back had long cuts, seemingly inflicted by a serrated knife. Potter also had rather bad burns on her arms and hand, the skin was blackened and blistered, and seemed to just flake off at the touch. The worst however, was Potter's bullet wound, someone, presumably her Uncle, had shot ,it was poorly aimed and the bullet hit her near the heart making it to bleed profusely making it hard for her to breath.

-End of Description- It was a good six hours later that Potter was finally resting comfortably, well in a magically induced coma so she was not pained by the injuries that had yet to be healed. The healers had managed to get the superficial injuries, such as the welts and cuts, but the bullet wound had made her heart weak. While none of this was good news, Umbridge was still overjoyed, she had gained control of Jenifer Potter, she was out from Dumbledore's thumb, and Umbridge was going to keep it that way.
