"Where are the rest of the decorations?" Dean shouted out to Bobby who was standing in the kitchen.
"Just over there." Bobby made a movement with his hand towards the door that leads to the basement. "Thanks." Was Dean's reply, but as he was about to get them, Sam came carrying towards him with the box.
"Got 'em." He smiled to his brother when he put the box down on the table and opened it.
30 minutes later, the brothers turned to look at the tree.
"Looks sweet, huh bro?" Dean smiled at his little brother. Sam nodded. "Yeah, it really does."
Just then Bobby came into the office to look. "Good job, kids." He said as he watched the green tree.
It was perfectly green with silver orbs and glitter, and in the very top, there was an angel.
"I would like Cas to see that one." Dean chuckled.
Just then, there was a flutter of wings followed by a deep voice. "See what?"
The three men turned around to see Castiel stand there in front of them. "Cas!" Dean greeted with a grin. He was really happy to see him. Maybe e little too happy, cause Sam sent him a gaze. Dean shrugged it off.
Castiel looked past the men. "What is a tree doing in your house, Bobby?" he asked confused.
"Well, for God's sake, isn't you an angel?" Bobby asked. "It's Christmas!"
The angel tilted his head and looked confused at Bobby. "But what with the tree?"
"Christmas tradition, you dork." Was Bobby's reply. "You should know that."
Castiel shook his head. "But the tree? I just don't understand."
Dean smiled and shook his head. "Don't think about it, Cas." He grabbed the angel's wrist and pulled him over to the tree. "Just look at it."
And Castiel did. "It's really beautiful, Dean." But then he spotted the angel in the top, and his face turned a little skeptic. "Is that…" Castiel's voice trailed off as Dean interrupted.
"An angel, yes." He said. "Tradition. Don't worry."
"I don't think he likes it." Sam whispered to Dean.
Dean smiled a little unsure about what to do. He was still holding around Cas' wrist. Castiel looked at him. "No. It is okay." Dean looked back. "I mean it, Dean. Don't worry about it."
Dean swore there was a tiny smile on the angel's lips for a second, and it made a warm wave go through him.
Sam tilted his head as he saw the gazes his brother and Cas sent each other. There was something in it, but he couldn't figure out what. Then he realized why Dean had been acting odd lately.
Bobby had also noticed, cause when Sam elbowed him, he just nodded back, and they both left the room.
Dean looked questionably after his brother. Sam sent Dean a smile. 'I know it' he said without a sound and pointed to the ceiling above Dean. Then he disappeared out.
Dean looked up and he gulped. "Um, Cas?"
Castiel turned at Dean. "Yes Dead?" he noticed the human was looking up, so he did the same.
"Mistletoe." Dean whispered and looked back at the angel.
Cas looked back at Dean too. None of them said anything as Dean bent forward and kissed the angel on the lips. To his surprise, Cas kissed back too.
They stayed like that for a couple of seconds before they pulled away. Both of them looked at each other with a smile.
"Merry Christmas, Cas."
"Merry Christmas, Dean."
And once again, their lips were connected.
