I do not own the Powerpuff Girls, but seriously where are my BrickBubbles fans at? No one is writing them! It makes me sad.

Bubbles loves to look at the stars. BrickBubbles oneshot

Star Gazing

Bubbles sat on the simple blanket she had laid on the ground. She crossed her legs and gazed upward with her sapphire eyes toward the dark sky.

The stars were bright tonight. The moon was a slight sliver. She shivered from the cold.

A warm jacket was draped over her slender form. Bubbles gazed to the left and watched as Brick dropped to the ground beside her. He gave her an affectionate kiss before smirking like he was up to no good.

"Still cold?"

She smiled. She considered whether or not to encourage his flirty behavior and then decided that playing hard to get wasn't as fun as having his arms around her.

"I'm still a little chilly. Your jacket only helps so much."

Brick pulled on Bubble's shoulder so he could lend her his warmth against her back. His arms wrapped around her. "Better?"

"Perfect." She answered as she tilted her face back into the crook of his neck. One hand idly lifted to play with his long flaming hair.

"Do you ever think of cutting your hair?"

"Do you ever name the right constellations? All the ones you have on your paper are wrong." Brick frowned down at Bubbles' half finished worksheet.

"Why?" She held the worksheet towards her body. "What did I get wrong?"

"You have the positions of the big and little dipper mixed up. And there is no star pattern called 'the crab thingy'."

Bubbles gave him a worried look. "How do you know about star gazing?"

He shrugged. "Boring lectures from super villain scientists named Mojo Jojo."

She giggled. "Will you help me then? I have to get this right for my astrology test."

"Isn't that cheating?" Brick whispered in her ear before kissing her neck. "I can hear it now 'big bad Powerpuff cheats on test. Superheroes everywhere are horrified'!"

"It's not cheating!" She tried to defend herself.

"Her alibi is…"

"Brick!"

"Alright, alright. Don't nag me to death." He kissed her. "Look up."

"Okay… What am I looking at?"

Brick began pointing upward towards one set of stars or another. He asked her what it looked like, teased her if she got it wrong, and moved onto the next question on her homework when she finally figured it out.

When the homework was done they lay side-by-side with Brick's arm around her and her head on his chest.

"How'd you know I was out here?"

"Blossom lectured me about not bothering you, but she was stupid enough to admit where you were." He replied.

Bubbles shoved him lightly. "Blossom is not stupid!"

"She is if she tells me where you are when she doesn't want me to be around you." He laughed. After a moment her fierce gaze softened and she leaned back into him.

"Yeah… that was pretty silly." She closed her eyes. "We should do this more often."

"Homework? No, you're on your own."

"Not that! Star gazing! It's romantic."

Brick nuzzled the side of her face before kissing her again. For once they weren't fighting, or arguing with their siblings, and he didn't have to put up a tough front (so no one knew how much he really cared about the blue puff). Everything about this night was perfect.

"Yeah." He agreed. He could get used to this.
