This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, this little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
Cameron sat at home in her new apartment, halfway across the country from PPTH. The room was dark except for a lone candle flickering gently on the table in front of . She had tried desperately not to think of him all day, and yet her mind keptreturning to him. She remembered when she first met the diagnostician. The eyes, theywere so bright, she thought looking at the candle in front of her.
Ev'ry where I go
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, ev'ry where I go
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
Ev'ry where I go
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
As they had begun working together, she could not deny that she wanted to save him, to help him grow. She leaned forward and breathed a little on the candle watching the flame grow, wondering what he could've become, what we could've become. And then she had realized that she didn't want him to change, but more importantly that she could never have him. So she walked away afraid to try again. She had tried to separate herself from him. She turned away from the table afraid to be once again in the light of the candle, afraid that she would never be able to look away.
All in my house
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, all in my house
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
All in my house
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
A cold breeze wafted through the room and the candle flickered and all that was left was a glowing orange wick. The breakdown and Mayfield, he had fallen and fallen so hard. She leaned in to blow on the candle gently, once more in attempt to bring back the light. Yet before she could blow, the little wick burst back into flame, almost bigger than before. And without her help she though sadly.
I'm not going to make it shine
I'm just going to let it shine
I'm not going to make it shine
I'm just going to let it shine
Hallelujah
I'm not gonna let anyone blow it out
No, I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
She held her hand out drawn to the flame. She had gone back to work for him, of course she had, she couldn't stay away. Yet she had forgotten how much pain it caused her to be close to him, but never able to have him. She could feel the warmth radiating from the little flame. It grew hotter, and hotter as she moved her hand closer. Suddenly she reached out and pinched the flame.
Out in the dark
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, out in the dark
I'm going to let it shine
Hallelujah
Out in the dark
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
She knew she should have felt pain from the fire, but the only ache she felt now was that of the darkness around her, the pain of being alone.
