Author's Note: Okay, I just felt like writing this, so it may not be the best lol. I used to love Power Rangers when I was little and I remembered Dana and Carter's almost relationship. Reviews are appreciated. thanks

Disclaimer: I do not own the concept of the Power Rangers or any of the characters.

Dana burst through the Aquabase doors after her date with Dan Witherby, a guy she had met after she and the rest of the rangers protected his family's business from getting robbed by Nadira several months ago. She and Dan had been dating for two months, even though she knew she had strong feelings for the team's red ranger. As Dana ran to her room, she went through the common room where the rest of the team was hanging out together, and it did not go unnoticed by them that she was crying, especially by Ryan and Carter.

Ryan and Carter looked at each other, concern evident in their eyes.

"I'll go" Ryan said. Dana never cried- she was always calm and happy, so Ryan knew something was seriously wrong.

"Okay" Carter said with a sigh. "But let me know what she says." It was no secret that Carter had serious feelings for Dana, though she Dana did not realize it. Carter cared about Dana very much and hated it when she was even the least bit unhappy.

Dana threw open the door to her room and immediately collapsed onto the bed, still crying heavily. She heard a knock on her door but didn't bother to answer it. Ryan opened the door and came to sit down on the bed beside Dana.

"Day, what happened? Was it something that Dan did? He asked. When there was no response save Dana's crying Ryan began to rub her back soothingly. "Whatever happened is over, Dana; you're fine here at the base."

There still wasn't a response. Moments later the door opened and Carter quietly walked to Dana's bed.

"Dana" he said.

She lifted her head up, her eyes still puffy and red. "Carter, what do you want? You want to know why I'm crying? Fine. I'm crying because Dan just isn't you. I wasted time with him in hopes that I could get my mind off of you because I know I can never have you. You would never want a girl like me. I'm too boring, I'm not pretty, and I'm not charming. Why would you want anything to do with me?" she cried before she let her head fall back onto her pillow and continued crying.

Carter was shocked. The girl he'd dreamed about being with for months thought he didn't want her? He reached towards Dana and gathered her into a hug. "Day, none of that is true. You are beautiful and so smart" he whispered into her ear as he held her close. "I want to be with you every second of every day, honey."

It was Dana's turn to be surprised. "You do?" she said, looking up at him shyly.

"Yes, I have since I met you" he replied. "I love you, Day" he murmured.

She looked into his eyes and saw love and devotion in them. "I love you too."

His only reply was to pull her closer to him. They stayed in that position, both of them relishing the feeling of being in the arms of the one they cared most about.
