A/N: Okay, so here's a very short, rather pointless, fluffy one-shot for the masses. This is new for me as I realized that all my one-shots tend to be really angsty. Anyhow, this turned out far shorter than I initially planned, but that was because every time I tried to introduce a background, it grew too serious and lost the playful feel I wanted to keep. Instead, all those failed beginnings are turning into something else altogether that I'll talk about more on my bio page.
Oh, and please review! Xiexie, muchas gracias, merci, thank you, arigatou, um...I can't think of any other languages right now.

Scrabble
He eyed her in his peripheral vision as he placed the tiles down.
S-O-R-R-Y
She seemed surprised at first, but when her eyes rose to meet his, a small smile was gracing her face. A couple of rounds passed uneventfully with the children placing words that both adults were amazed they knew, but when it came to Tifa's turn again, she glanced up briefly before putting the tiles F-O-G-I-V-E-N, with the "F" and "O" tiles above the first R and the rest of the tiles beneath it.
A wide smile broke out on his face and on the next turn, he counted the spaces as he placed an "I" at one end perpendicular to the "V" tile and a "U" at the other end.
"What kind of word begins with an 'I' and ends with a 'U'?" asked Marlene, her eyebrows furrowed as she searched her memory bank.
Cloud smirked knowingly and quickly filled in the rest of the tiles. I-L-U-U, with the "V" tile between the two "U's".
"That's not a word," protested Denzel, as he attempted to pronounce the word "iluvu" in all the possible combinations he could conjure.
Tifa's claret eyes rose to meet Cloud's brilliant blues ones in an instant of understanding. With a smile, she ignored Denzel's comment and chose instead to lean over the scrabble board to plant a lingering kiss on Cloud's lips. The two children erupted in a series of "ews" and "yucks" but the two adults could care less.
She pulled away with a smirk before leaning in to whisper something in his ear and settling back in her chair with a sly twinkle in her eyes. Cloud couldn't wipe the goofy smile off his face for the rest of the game.
Scrabble should be played more often in their house he decided.
A/N: I wasn't really referring to anything in particular that Cloud needed forgiveness for. I just thought the idea of apologizing via Scrabble is cute and kinda hard if you think about it. I mean you have to pick all the right tiles and make sure the tiles all fit in the right spaces without opening up a triple word score...
