The Proposal

Rachel sat there, at the piano for almost an hour now going through music, trying to think of songs she'd like to sing at Regionals. She's done Barbra, Kurt's done Bernadette. She could do Judy...when all of a sudden her phone beeps. She smiles as she reads her boyfriends text. "Meet me in the auditorium." She sighs, gets up taking the books with her. Maybe Finn can help her decide.

When Rachel arrives in the auditorium it's black. She calls out for Finn thinking she got played by him. The lights come on and Finn is standing in the middle of the stage with a picnic set up. "Finn, what is this?" "Well, I was hungry and thought I'd make us dinner since we're here so late." She climbs up the steps and sits down having flashbacks to their first kiss. "Sorry you only get PB and J sandwiches, I'm not exactly a top chef." Rachel replies, "Don't Finn. It's perfect. It's quite, just us. You even have virgin Cosmos!"

Nervously Finn tells Rachel, "Rachel, you know I love you." "Of course Finn, I love you too." From underneath the blanket Finn pulls something out. "Rachel. Remember when we sorta dated the first time? Before the whole Jesse debacle?" Rachel replied, "Of course I do Finn but what does that have to do with anything?" His palms are sweaty. "Well, you made us dating calendars. You cut out our faces and glued them over kitty cat faces." Rachel laughed. "O my goodness Finn. I can't believe you remember that. That was so long ago." Finn hands her a calendar. "I kept mine and I want to give it to you now." Confused, Rachel looks at the calendar and sees that today is circled. "Finn, I don't understand. I circled dates so you would remember when we had plans. We didn't have anything planned tonight so why is it circled?" "Because it's the day I proposed."

"Rachel. I love you. I've loved you since they day you dressed like a sad clown hooker in your bedroom I just didn't know it. It took me a long time to realize that I loved you and how much I loved you. I know I've let you down in the past, but I'm willing to give up my life for you. I'm willing to move to New York so you can do Broadway. Rachel, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Please, will you spend the rest of your life with me? Will you marry me?"

Shocked Rachel says, "Finn, I love you too but I don't know what to say. I mean yes, of course I'll marry you but you've never let me down. We've had bumps along the way but what hurts just makes you stronger. I love you with all of my heart and can't wait to be your wife!"

This is my first fic and probably the last. I know it's not great but be nice!lol
