"Stop the training! Get them out of there!"

"We can't! The doors are melted shut!"

"Dammit...gas the room! Subdue the subject!"

"But sir-"

"DO IT!"

An explosion rumbles through the earth, shaking them all to their core.

The airships landed, and the fresh huntsmen and huntresses in training, all attending the highly known hunters academy Beacon, pooled out.

They came in different shapes and sizes, with weapons as diverse as themselves. There was one though that stuck out most in particular. A boy, not much taller than the average man, at about 5'9-10 feet tall.

The people didn't really try to avoid him, but they did give him funny looks as he walked by.

The boy wore a black sleeveless hoodie, the armholes designed to look like they had the sleeves torn off, giving them a ragged look. His pants were dark blue jeans that were ripped and torn in some places, held up by a belt with white metal buckle with a phoenix engraved in it. His shoes were runners, with a swirl design, colored in white and gold.

But this isn't what struck the crowd as odd. What was odd was the fact that he was covered in bandage wrapping all around his body.

On every visible part of his body, he was wrapped in white bandages, leaving no sight of what was hidden underneath except for one eye, visible since the bandages parted there, which was an eerie pale blue, which seemed almost white.

He wore his hood up, walking through the crowd without stopping, not caring about the whispers and stares directed towards him. From time to time, he would lazily glance off to the side towards the other students, causing them to back up slightly as he made eye contact.

"What is he?"

"Staring into my soul..."

"Where's his weapon?"

Whether the comments were offensive or not, he didn't mind, care, or show any real emotional hurt. He moved on like a drone, a machine.

Sooner or later, the crowd dispersed, people going with their little circle of friends, all making their way to the school. He was left alone, which he didn't mind, still walking towards the school.

As he made his way over to the school, an explosion rang out across the courtyard, catching his attention.

Changing his destination of choice, he decided to go and find what cause the explosion.

What he found wasn't what he expected. What he found was two girls, one clad in red and the other white, arguing, with the one in white on the offensive side of the conversation.

Uncaring, he turned to leave, until he felt something that made him immediately turn back to the duo. "Dust...in the air..." He thought.

He then walked towards the two, the one in white seeing him as he came. "What do you want?" She asked in a cold tone of voice.

"There is dust lingering in the air. It is in an unstable state right now. Are you two the cause of this?" He asked, in a monotone voice.

"Excuse me?" Asked the one in white, giving him a funny look.

The one in red started to fidget around, poking her fingers together. "Um, well you see, I tripped over her luggage, then she started yelling at me..."

"You should have watched where you were going! You're at fault here!"

The two started arguing again, then he noticed the vial of dust in the girl in whites hand.

"Let me see that dust vial." He asked her, making her turn her attention to him.

"Excuse me? What right do you have to speak to me like that? Do you know who your talking to?" She asked, stepping at him.

"Your identity does not matter to me. That dust, on the other hand, matches the type that lingers in the air at this present time. Your uncooperative responses proves to me that you are the cause of this hazard."

The one in white began to stutter furiously. "How...how dare you! Do...do you think you can talk to me like that and get away with it?!" She grabbed the hilt of her weapon, a rapier, ready to draw it.

"Um guys? I don't think we should be fighting..." Said the red one, whose eyes moved between the two.

"She is right. If this were to break into combat, I do not guarantee the safety of your well being." He said to the girl in white, with the same tone of voice.

She drew her weapon and pointed it at him. "Don't get cocky. No one knows dust better than me!" She lunged at him, thrusting forward her rapier, a red glow to it.

As it made contact with his chest, a flash of blinding white light erupted from him, making both girls stumble back.

The white ones face quickly went from shocked to enraged as she regained her composure. She stabbed the rapier into the ground with both hands, sending a wave of ice at him.

He didn't do anything besides start walking towards her, right into the wave of ice. Before even making it within a foot to him, the ice shattered and broke into tiny shards, flying in all directions.

The girl held up her hand, and a blue glyph appeared in front of her, blocking the fragmentation of ice. That's when he rushed in.

He struck the glyph with his fist, causing the area of effect to spark a dim, bending in slightly. He opened his hand, making a gripping gesture, and ripped the glyph away, turning it into a shower of blue lights that slowly fell down.

Before she could get out, he lashed out and grabbed her with his other hand by her wrist, and threw her behind himself, making her fall into her front.

He turned around and walked towards her, the bandages on his arms now having slightly glowing symbols, glowing more intense as they neared his hands. The one in red ran up to him and tried to push him back.

"That's enough, stop!" She yelled out, pushing into his chest.

But he kept walking towards the white one, bearing no other thought than to finish the fight.

"That's enough!" Yelled the stern voice of a man of older age and strength.

The boy stopped in his tracks and fully turned to the source of the voice. "Hello Professor Ozpin." He greeted, like nothing was out of the ordinary.

Ozpin walked up to him. "Care to explain why you and miss Schnee are having a battle in the courtyard?"

The one with the name Schnee got up and marched over to the two. "This man was rude, insolent, butting into matters that he had no right to enter!"

"She was using and treating dust in a very hazardous way. My only goal was to cease this and dispose of the dust in a proper fashion."

"By attacking me!?" She yelled at him, now turned to the boy.

"You were the one who struck first, i remember correctly."

"You taunted me!"

"I warned you."

"That is enough!" Ozpin said sternly, silencing the two.

"Miss Schnee, please proceed to the auditorium and wait for the assembly. Miss Rose..." He turned to the one in red, who stood awkwardly to the side. "Thank you for trying to stop the situation, but come get a teacher first next time."

She gave a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of her head with a small laughed. "Roger that sir."

"You." He pointed at the boy. "Come with me."

He nodded and followed the headmaster into the school. After a couple minutes of silent walking, they reached an elevator, with a logo of two axes crossed over each other. They stepped inside, and Ozpin pressed a button on the side of the wall, and the elevator went up.

When the doors opened, they entered a massive circular room, with bookshelves lining the side of the room with the door, and the other side being a glass wall that looked down upon Beacon.

"Have a seat." Ozpin told the boy. He nodded and sat in a chair in front of a desk in the center of the room. Ozpin took a seat in a chair on the other side, crossing his hands in front of him of him on the desk.

"Now, your name in Mono, is that correct?"

"Yes, that is the name I was given." Said the boy without hesitation.

Ozpin sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Let's cut to the chase. I know what you are, and why you're here." He brought his hand down. "But frankly, I don't need an uproar about a student who brutally beats down those who say different than him."

"I merely-"

"I know you're Intentions, but they will say otherwise. I know that you only got experience with the few humans you made ever made contact with, but you must learn to let things go. that is part of being human."

"I understand."

"Good. Now, there was supposed to be three more of you, names being..."

"Di, tetra, and deca."

"Yes, are supposed to be here. Any clue on where they are?"

"No knowledge of their whereabouts are present to me."

"I see. Well my contact told me that to put you into a team, with my choice as leader. Since you're the only one present, that'll be postponed, and you'll be a solo Hunter until they arrive. Understood?"

"Yes, commander."

"Another thing. The teachers here are to be call either miss, sir, or Professor. Commander isn't a thing that these teachers are."

"Yes...sir."

Ozpin smiled. "Good. Head to the assembly hall. Wait for further instructions from me there."

"Yes sir. Thank you sir." Said Mono as he got up, giving Ozpin a nod and left.

When he left, Ozpin got up and stood at the window, looking down below.

"What are your plans, old friends?"
