A Story By Awkward Merlin

Nobody, nobody, nobody. That's what flows through his head, what's on his face every morning. When his stone cold eyes look at me they scream that he doesn't matter. That he is nobody. And it's maddening. But there are moments when we are researching, or on a mission where he shines, where he feels like he is something more. Where his lips twitch and for a second he smiles. But today it seems like this is going to be another 'I'm a nobody day'. That was until, I messed something up.

"Lexeaus, what in earth's name is that?!" Emotion for just a split second, before he is back to his calm self. He quickly took, whatever was in my hand, away from me. I hadn't been paying much attention to that beaker anyway. "Jeez you brute!" He says it with love, I hope. "This was very sensitive stuff!" He likes to emphasize on a lot of words. It makes him seem more cynical and angry. He was angry, but I don't think cynical. Well maybe.

He was doing something now, today I'm not in a very, I guess, scientific mood. I'm more in a let's mope about how your boyfriend calls you mean things mood. Plus I normally don't talk anyway. So when he got back to explaining how I was supposed to be working, I grunted and hummed, not really paying attention to him. He never notices, Zexion is in a scientific mood always. He marks and scratches at his not pad, face bright with excitement and happiness, as he looks at his work. But when we look at each other it goes right back to cold and angry.

I flip a coin as he messes with his beakers and tubes, up and down, up and down. It catches the light and shines a bit, and lands on the table with a soft whisper. I look back up at Zexion, who is now staring at me. He sighs, and shakes his head, slowly he removes his glasses.

"I guess we could finish this later, if you'd rather goof off with that thing. Where did you get that anyway? I hope it wasn't on the floor." He almost says this absent mindedly, like he really doesn't mind that he is putting down his precious work. For me. He peels off his gloves slowly, making sure they go right back in place, grabs his book and taps me lightly. "Let's go you big brute."

AN: Hah, I wanted something simple and sweet. Plus KH came out on the DS! And I can't wait until I own one, and that game, and pokemon and Professor Layton. And a lot of games. I also think Lexeaus has emotions, he just is very shy about them. That's why I did his POV.
