Cooking Adventure

I can't believe I'm doing this. What made me think this was a good idea? Ron thought to himself. Today was the three year anniversary of the war with Voldemort. It was also the three year anniversary of Ron and Hermione's relationship. That was why Ron decided to make her a special dinner. Earlier that day, Ron went to the store and bought a turkey. The only problem was that Ron couldn't cook. He couldn't make toast without burning. He had no idea how he was supposed to cook a turkey for two.

I know! I'll go see mum. She'll tell me what to do! thought Ron. He ran out of the kitchen, grabbed his coat, and apperated out of his flat and to his parent's house. When he got there, Ron noticed that everything seem unusually quiet. He walked to the door and found a note tacked to it.

Dear person reading this,

Arthur and I have gone to celebrate the anniversary of the war in Hawaii. I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner. You can blame Arthur for that. He surprised me with tickets this morning and I didn't have time to call and let you know.

Have a happy Waraversary,

Molly Weasly

Well isn't that great, thought Ron, How am I supposed to make Hermione dinner if I can't cook a turkey? Wait, maybe mum has a recipe for turkey in her recipe box. He opened the door and walked into the kitchen. He didn't know where to look. His mom had never let anyone read the recipes. The box was most definitely off limits. After an hour of searching through cabinets, Ron gave up. Well so much for that idea, thought Ron as he left the house and apperated home. When he got home he decided to turn on his TV and watch a muggle cooking channel. However, Rachel Ray was making soup not turkey. Thanks Rachel. Soup really helps my situation, Ron thought. Suddenly he had an idea. Maybe I should go see Ginny. She might know how to cook a turkey.

Ron arrived at the Potter's house at Godric's Hollow. A sleepy Harry opened the door.

"Where's Ginny" asked Ron as he walked through the doorway.

"She's at Hermione's I think. Why are you here Ron?" replied Harry.

"I need some help. Today is mine and Hermione's anniversary. I was planning on baking her a turkey, but I don't know how to cook. I was going to ask Ginny if she knew how to cook a turkey, but she's not here."

"Wow, are you lucky she's not here. She would have burned your turkey into oblivion. I used to cook at the Dusley's maybe I can help. Let's go back to you house and see what we can do."

As they appareted back to Ron's flat, he sighed with relief. Maybe this dinner won't be an epic fail after all.
