Chapter 1
Let It Begin
Sonshine
I was at the top of the tallest tree in my village waiting for the sun to rise. I did this every morning, which is how I got my name. One day, after the sunrise, I decided to take a walk in the woods.
"Uh" is what I heard in a weak voice. When I found the source of moan, I was shocked.
Tara
"Uh" was all I could say because of my stupid headache. I heard a gasp and there she was, a girl that looked about my age just standing there. All she did was stair at me.
Sonshine
She stared at me like I was nuts I tell you NUTS! But I was shocked by the color of her hair. Her hair looked like a flipping awesome mirror. I swear I could see a perfect reflection of myself.
"Hey the…...r……e" was all I could say because I suddenly became frozen in time!
Tara
She started to walk towards me so I froze her on sheer reflex. I unfroze her and apologized for what happened. I turned around and as soon as I was about to run she yelled "wait". The next thing I knew I was tangled up in vines. That's when I knew I would have to explain myself. All I did was stood there and stared.
Sonshine
What else could I do? I wanted to know how she froze me and why she was in pain. I wanted to help, but all she did was stand there and glared at me.
"Why are you in pain?" I asked.
"I am always in pain."
"What type of pain?"
"The truth is, I am a Time Bender, the only one left, and I always get headaches whenever I an in any type of danger"
"T…t…t... time Bender?"
"Yes I can control anything including time."
"Do you want something for your headache?"
"YES!"
Tara
She took me to your house and gave me a weird green cube. She told me it had a paste in it that helps headaches. It tasted like mint thanks to the leafy peppermint coating.
"Oh, my name is Sonshine." She said. "It's nice to meet you."
"I am Tara" was all I could say.
I told her more about time bending and asked her to help me find out why I have so many headaches. Then she asked me if she could join me in my travels. I told her yes, but only if she promised to help me with my headaches from now on, and she said she would. Then that is when I realized that I made a good friend that I will have forever, and I was happy about that.
Sonshine
I was happy Tara was letting me join. I decided to pack;
My water bending scrolls,
Some medical scrolls,
And some medicine.
Tara
When I saw her large bag I was surprised to see how light it was.
"We're off to Ba Sing Se" is what I told her.
She jumped around joyfully. I froze her. She apologized, what felt like a million times.
"And on that note, we're off".
