Economics and Chakra

1. "Welcome to Applied Philosophies." The Sensei, a small darkhaired man, addressed the classroom. "It appears that most of you are new chunin, so congratulations. Please try to keep the excitement down. This class provides a discourse on the essentials of the ninja world, a sort of higher education to correct the misconceptions of youth, and prepare you for the leadership position that you now hold."

A piece of chalk, previously held in the sensei's hand, landed in the newly open mouth of a nin with dark blue hair in the second row, who sputtered. "I do request that you remain silent until I ask you to speak. Kami knows most of you don't want to be here any longer than you have to be."

The sensei took another piece of chalk from a basket near the blackboard, and began to write with his back turned to the class. "The three topics we will cover in the following days are Chakra, the structure of the Village and why it came to be the way this way, and the basic economic principles of the Elemental Nations." He smiled. "The first two might sound familiar, but again please hold your comments until the end of class today. Lets begin."

2. "Chakra is the essence of life. Most of you know that, but lets look deeper at what it means. Lets review the basics. Chakra is produced by all living things, and some nonliving natural processes. In humans this energy forms at the 7 gates, and flows throughout the body through chakra coils. It is a combination of two parts, yin and yang, or physical and mental energies." The sensei smiled. "So here comes the first interesting part. When you die, what happens?" He points "You, girl, first row"

"Well, your spiritual energy goes into the Pure World, right? And the physical just fades away or something?" She smiled nervously.

"Good! The physical energy dilutes, and mixes with the natural chakra of the world. Now, what can we infer from this? Blondie." The sensei pointed to a male student in the back row with glasses. There was no response. The sensei threw another piece of chalk, knocking away the glasses, which disrupted the minor genjutsu covering the lenses that made it appear he was awake. The nin quickly woke up, and promptly fell out of his chair when he noticed the rest of the class, plus the professor, looking at him.

"Ah, thanks for that charming response. Please take your chair to the front row. No, not your desk, just the chair."

"As I was saying, the fact that spiritual energy returns to the pure world after death creates some fascinating possibilities. When you add in specifics on the effects of the Impure Resurrection, which literally rips the spiritual energy back out of the Pure Realm" the class shuddered "or the Yamanaka spirit possession techniques, which allow the consciousness of the caster to leave their bodies, you come to a conclusion. You are your spiritual chakra. This means that spiritual chakra is sentient. For those of you that have never cracked a book, being sentient means that chakra can think, can remember, and can act independently in high enough quantities. "

A shout came from the middle of the audience "Thats why smart clones take so much energy!"

"Exactly. So how does that apply to the world we live in? Let's discuss."
