"Mama, Mama, where are you? Mama?" a little girl dressed in blood yelled. She was to my left, walking beside me, looking around aimlessly.
To my right,"I loved you, I loved you'" said a girl, her head tilting downwards. She had tears poring down her cheeks, they were blood red.
Behind me,"My dear poor Annie. I have to get back to work! Where am I? Let me leave, please, just let me go!" a cried a man, dressed in a fine silk suit, grim pleading face looking up at the sky.
These were my people. They belonged to me. I put them to sleep but these are the ones who woke up. They walk beside me, going from kill to kill and scooping up the souls with their transparent hands.
There are more, too many to count. They repeat the same things over and over again. Bound to me for eternity.
At first they were annoying, my treasured companions. I put them to bed! But they were bad children and got out of their beds. I slowly got used to them, instead of yelling at the air or swatting at them, I nod and smile at them when they look straight through me with unseeing eyes.
I am who I am. Never wanting to change. But that doesn't mean I won't. Because my names Jeff.
Jeff the Killer.
