Blue. The paint splattered onto the blank canvas with raw emotion, leaving only a reminiscent of white left. I dipped the brush into another more fiery color, red and flicked some passion into the humble painting. It was becoming a real artwork now; I could just imagine shapes and forms that were not there. With the slightest little effort, I gave this dull, white piece of cardboard 'life'. My thoughts became the scratching sound of record player when I heard my voice beckoned from downstairs.
"Raven, get ready, or you'll be late for school again!"
I placed my paint pallet on the confetti-stained dresser with a sigh and commenced slipping into appropriate attire. My clothes were a purple-striped undershirt, black slim-fit tee, and a blue and black pleated plaid skirt with black combat boots and some silver chain bracelets to match. I applied noir eyeliner and combed my blue streaked natural jet hair while examining myself in a full body mirror sitting against the east wall of the room. I took one last glance around then exited stage left.
