A/N: A Val's Day One-shot (: I know it's a little late, but oh well. R and R!

Draco tossed the rose around, slightly depressed. He had just asked Ginny Weasley out. Of course he was rejected.

As he sulked, a slim hand caught the rose in midair and tucked it into his front shirt pocket. He turned, shocked, and saw Hermione smiling. She gave him a comforting hug. They had become best friends ever since fifth year.

"I'm guessing you were reject-…?" She didn't finish her sentence. Draco gave her a slightly depressed face.

"I'm 'kay," he reassured her, slinging a casual arm round her shoulder as they walked to the Great Hall to have supper.

"Why don't you stop trying to get a girl? Relax for a while?" Hermione suggested. Draco looked thoughtful.

"I guess you're right. Besides, no one likes me. I should've thought of that," Draco replied. "What girl likes Draco Malfoy? No one, for sure." Hermione stiffened at Draco's mocking voice.

"Maybe one person," she said quietly. Draco whipped his head around.

"Wh- what was that?" He asked, shocked. Hermione smacked her hand to her mouth, cursing herself inwardly.

"Nothing… I didn't say anything," she muttered. Draco shoved her gently against the wall of the deserted corridor, a smirk playing on his face.

"So which person is this, exactly?" Draco whispered playfully. Hermione gasped, like she was out of breath.

"I don't… know," she responded breathlessly. "I just thought there was probably one person out there that… liked you." Draco pressed himself closer, teasing Hermione.

"I guess I'll have to answer the question on my own…" he murmured, pressing his hot lips against hers.

Merlin! She felt lost. He tasted wonderful, his fresh breath mingling with hers. Tongues danced, each battling for dominance. Hermione kissed him back enthusiastically and Draco smirked against her lips in triumph.

"Say it, Hermione. Admit it," he whispered huskily as his lips travelled down her creamy neck. Hermione shivered, but went along with it.

"I like you, Draco Malfoy. You're more than just a friend to me," she growled. Their eyes locked and Draco's lips twitched. He leaned in for a soft kiss.

"About time, Granger. I was getting impatient," he murmured teasingly. He leaned away and grasped her hand tightly in his, starting for the Great Hall again. They kept exchanging sweet kisses while walking, but nothing to long; other students would constantly be popping up.

"So many people just popping up," Hermione said exasperatedly. Draco watched her rant with a smug smile playing at his lips. Then he pulled her to the side of the corridor.

"Excellent," he smiled. "A broom closet."
