I refuse to ever get married to Frank, despite how much I love him, and my reasoning is simple.

I hate weddings, there's just so much wrong with them. Specifically the wording they use. There's way to much said to get across the simple but powerful message, "I love you." It's like their trying make a business transaction with all the specifics the put in, they can't just let love be how it is.

For example, "...so that the Lord may seal and strengthen your love..." Bullshit. My love is already as strong as it's going to get, so the invisible man in the sky can shake His rain stick around as much as He wants, it won't do anything. Superfluous.

"...have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage?" No, we came here to a church in suits to party hard and get high. YES WE'RE HERE TO GET MARRIED, and unless one of us has a ball and chain around our ankle we're probably here of our own freewill too. We would have run by now if we weren't. Unnecessary.

"Will you love and honour each other as man and wife..." I don't think I need to say much here. Homophobic.

And the worst offence of all, "Till death do us part." Why is this worse then the other? Because it's assuming that after I die, my love for him will stop and I don't think that's right. Death just isn't strong enough a force to make that happen. False.

I don't believe in marriage, but I believe in love. I don't believe in ghosts, but I think that if anything of a person could live on, it would be their love. I know my love for Frank will live on, because it has a mind of it's own and doesn't need a body. That just helps with the more sexual bits.

He is my world. And that will extend beyond forever.
