*-*Author's Note*-*

Okay, I know this story DOE'S NOT exactly follow the way the story was wrote in book 5. I just can't really see, or maybe want to see Sirius growing up with the family he had. I want him to have a nice childhood seeing he has a crappy adulthood. I'll try to keep some things the same but only the ones that fit into my story. I should probably tell you dudes and brauds that I'm borrowing some ideas from Mallory's Oracle and series. I also wanted to imagine Lily different seeing as she's always portrayed in the same way. This story's probably going to be wordy at times but this chapter's more of a prologue, so the following chapter's are going to be much longer. I'm probably going to be updating once or twice a week, depending on how many electives I get on my spring classes. One last thing, I hate to ask this, but if you guys read my story, would you please review me so I know people are reading this and I'm doing something productive for a change. Well, thanks for reading this and enjoy, and the story will pick up in the following chapters.

((( Chapter 1 (((
Mystery Girl

Charles Black and Philip Potter were walking along Widow Wood Alley after a late night raid. They were all alone while turning a corner to get to Diagon Alley. The streets where empty since everyone else at the raid apperated home. But Charles just said he fancied a walk, however Philip knew the real reason as to why he wanted to walk along Diagon, Knockturn, and Widow Wood Allies.

He was in search of that little red headed girl they meet a few weeks back breaking into Madam Malkin's . It turned out their little thief stole almost an entire shipment of very expensive imported robes. They then thought they 1st caught her but it turned out she slipped and got away from them. They both came to the same conclusion. She must be a witch, or at least a Squibb, since they always saw her around here. She was most likely a runaway or perhaps an orphaned. And she couldn't be older than 10 perhaps. Charles looked up Ministry reports for anyone that fit her profile but nothing turned up. Philip had helped Charles out by asking the shop keepers if they knew who she was. Some said she would go into the shop and look at things but never buy anything and never talked. The shop Keepers just said it was a while since she'd stopped by but it wasn't very likely one could forget her that easily. And they were right. Even though she was clearly wearing a too big and shabby robe, she had the most angelic face one could imagine. Her beautiful wavy red hair would nicely compliment her rosy red lips and those eyes. . . they could almost mesmerize you, but not entirely for their beauty. They were a deep clear emerald green but the pupil was slightly slanted giving them a cat's look. There were just no other eyes like hers.

"Charles," said Philip crouching down and taking Charles down with him. "She's there at 3 o'clock. She's breaking into Ralphie's Jewelry Madness shop. "Okay, you take the right side and I'll take the left. I'll seal the area with a barrier, alright?"

"Yeah," but just as Philip was about to get up, Charles said to him, "Phil, try not to stun her if she pulls a wand at you, it's a fake."

They both slit up and where approaching the door quite as mice. The girl hadn't even noticed they were there. She was busy as she was about to finish loading up her wagon with the goods. She was headed towards the door when she noticed that it was blocked. You could tell she was startled because her eyes had gone all wide when Charles said, "Gotcha." But the next second Philip thought he imagined it as her eyes became slanted as she pulled out her wand as if she was prepared to dual them both.

"Relax, we don't wanna fight you, so why don't you put that fake wand away before you poke someone in the gut," said Philip.

"Yeah, he's right, we just wanna take you back to the Ministry so they could put you back where you belong, with your parents," said Charles.

But she wasn't buying it. Seeing that they weren't backing down, she chucked the wand at them and ran for it. She didn't get very far thanks to Philip's barrier. Her eyes were big and wide as Charles picked her up and sat her in the back of the car Philip had transfigured.

"So, what's your name?" no answer. "Where are your parents?" Silence. "Where do you live?" she just stared at Charles.

"Okay, umm, could you tell me how old you are?" asked Philip trying his luck with the girl. "Are you a witch?" All he got from her was a small smirk as she turned her head to look at Philip.

"Okay, I've got an idea, what if for every question you answer, you get to ask us one in return. Sound good?" asked Charles.
"Now your talking," said the girl speaking for the 1st time.

"Ok, so, what's your name?" said Philip.

"Lily."

"I meant a whole name. So do you have a last name Lily?"

Lily looked as if she was thinking hard for a moment. "Boscárelli. Now it's my turn. Am I going to go to prison?"

"The ministry wouldn't send you to Azkaban for stealing from a few shops. So don't worry about that. How old are you anyways?" asked Charles as he was locking up the doors.

"I'm 12." said Lily pretty boldly considering everyone knew this was a down right lie. But she insisted she was 12 as the car pulled out. Charles debated with her for about 20 minutes until he finally talked her down to 11, which was now a more believable lie. Philip knew Charles could have crushed her lie in an instant if he had wanted to but he decided to play along. "So where're you taking me?"

"We're taking you to Charles' house. The Ministry's closed right now. We'll head out early tomorrow morning. Where can we locate your parents by the way? They must be really worried about you."

"They're not. I don't have any parents," she said but with no real emotion. After a short ride, they dived down and parked in front of a big pretty house. As they where getting out of the car, someone was coming outside to great them.
